She stepped out into the light as the labyrinth faded away, clinking a Grief Seed to her Soul Gem. “Ne, Nana, do you think Sayuri-chan will be happy to see me again? I hope so.” The incubator curled around her ankles, reaching up to be pet.
“Do you want to call it quits for tonight? Your Soul Gem is pristine.”
“Ah, I dunno...it’s always good to have a surplus, right? Plus there was that familiar...” A tough decision...She leaped all the way down from the hospital roof and stuck the landing in an alley, but didn’t transform back just yet. “But if it’s not here anymore, I should let some other girl practice on it, right?” She went to toss the Seed to Nanabey but paused.
“This doesn’t look all used up to me yet...” Nana’s hackles raised and she vanished. “Nana? Nana, wait -” She swiveled around. “Is somebody there? This is my space, you know...”
