I also need to talk about Corbeau's terrible sitting posture. This is a disaster (affectionate) and I'm not sure if it's because all the seating in his office looks like it was made to be uncomfortable and/or for tall people or if he just has bad sitting posture but either way it cracks me up all the time

one thing that I'm soooo curious about is korrina's friendship with corbeau, like it really feels to me like they're actually Friends and I wanna know so badly how that happened (yes my headcanon is that she just waltzed into the rust syndicate and asked for a battle and yes I already put that in a fic and will likely put it in another at some point) but like his expression here when he's about to introduce korrina seems pretty happy

(especially since his previous expressions right before introducing her were all 😒) but he just seems genuinely happy to introduce her, and she seems comfortable with him as well

It also seems like corbeau talked up the protag to her when calling her in for this

this line sounds to me like she's confirming something that he'd told her 👀 which I just think is cute

I've thought a lot about the neatness that I generally tend to write for Corbeau's apartment and I know there's a lot of differing takes on what his personal space would look like (messy bachelor pad, old run down building etc) and for me I think it's about control; not about being Controlling, but about having Control over his environment, which is something he very likely never had growing up, and so I think it's something that he would do once he got his own space that was just for him is to exert that control over it down to somewhat of a granular level. And that's not to say that it's spotless or he's always cleaning or tidying it because I didn't think he has the time for that, and I do always think it would be somewhat sparse in terms of decorations and nothing really like fussy, but I do just think that it would be pretty neat and clean so that he can come home and feel like it's his space that he has that control over and not have to like deal with mess or stuff scattered everywhere, he can just walk in and be settled down without having to work at it

i think i need to think less about having good coverage for kyoya's team in fics and more about what he would keep on his team as time goes on and he catches more special pokemon because like he doesn't NEED eternal floette when he has fairy coverage in mega meganium but would he just store floette in a box? no

it would be funny by the end of the game's story though if his team is meganium, zygarde, floette, darkrai, and then some combo of kyogre/groudon/rayquaza

although it could also be that he doesn't really use floette in battle much and she just hangs out around the hotel like she did with az...

and then he could also have marshadow, the swords of justice, the latis, magearna, or meloetta by the end of the storyline too....

anyway imagine you're just a regular person in lumiose participating in the infinite za royale and the fucking savior swoops down on you with fucking MEGA DARKRAI in the middle of the night like DAMN

idk really why but I love the phrasing of this line and how it sounds a little awkward, like Corbeau isn't quite sure what to say. It's kinda endearing to me tbh

i think teirotmate is my fave kykr artist (i have like at LEAST 6 faves this is today's fave) and in this art dump on their pixiv there's one of corbeau sitting at his desk picturing kyoya as different dog pokemon and the yamper one is like exactly what i was picturing in my current fic when i had corbeau picturing kyoya as a cute lil yamper it's so 🥺🥺🥺 (also that image in general is just so adorable)

and then this art dump you have to scroll down almost to the bottom for the one that i keep laughing about but it's the phanpy and cufant one and sometimes i just randomly think about it and crack up (it seems like they clear stuff from their twitter after a certain amount of time so i hadn't saved it and thought i lost it but then found it again on their pixiv and was v happy it's so funny to me)

ugghhh their art is just soooo good and expressive (and lots of really good sexy ones too)
