hii! i’m mei, and this is my writing sideblog.

i’ve been writing since 2013/14, a on and off hobby of mine alongside drawing digitally. i love, love looove intricate stories in any media so i like making them too! reader inserts are my bread and butter… i’ve been in this hole forever……..

i haven’t wrote much outside of roleplay stuff or lore tidbits regarding my oc’s (me when ff14), so i’ve been pretty rusty on it.

recently though, i got hooked with lcf’s manhwa and i liked cale so much that it got me actually posting something for him. i had one cooking for lovebrush chronicles but my gacha burnout got to me faster (funnily enough, there’s a guy named cael there so ive been cackling while reading lcf until i got hit by the cale henituse love beam like a fool)

i made this to have a space specifically for my writing since i want to keep at it as well as be able to freely reblog reader insert stuff since my main is suuuper dead… english is not my first language but my brain do yap a lot in english. a little hobby to keep myself sane while i work on my college thesis orz

i like video games (kingdom hearts, final fantasy, drakenier, persona, steins;gate, ace attorney, undertale/deltarune, otome games like lovebrush chronicles, love and deepspace, rpg horror like ib, off, etc), animanga (kagepro, rezero, houseki no kuni, etc), manhwa (this witch of mine, your eternal lies, i shall kill that sweet devil, concubine walkthrough, trapped, and ofc lcf are some of my favorites), vocaloid (deco*27 and police picadilly my kings), jpop (yorushika, tuyu, yoasobi my beloveds)…….. and uh. taylor swift. yes. im so normal i promise i PROMISE

i found more cale merch on a fanmerch store just next door from my uni 😭😭😭😭 a photocard version of the button pin i already have and this cute sleepy cale with ohr 😭😭😭😭😭😭 i feel so insane just seeing my current fixation having merch and having the means to buy it... this is a sign (that im incredibly ill) (and need to finish next chapter)

Bro, you and a few others author are what’s got me tweaking about making fics for Cale henituse. Bro has me in an insane chock hold. Btw, what inspired your version of reader? Was there a specific scene in LCF or was it always cooking away ?

hooo boy that is a great question i will totally not go insane with!! the reader in the albatross- lets call her miss albatross for ease- is a combination of a lot of things (under the cut because i have a lot to say):

i've always wondered throughout reading lcf about cale's interests. his actions all over the novel has him doing shit that's related to it and his past experiences from earth, defending and fighting monsters. but we barely got any information, nor even a hint of ANYONE taking interest of what nerdy shit he likes (as far as i know, i havent read book 2- just the spoilers i hear from the grapevine). it's a given he knows different korean web novel genres, horror movies, fantasy novels, games... but this man could be a secret homestuck for all we know. would he have gotten into obscure slenderverse args? did he have a random youtube lets play of final fantasy play on the background while he worked/studied because he didn't have money to actually play the games (VERY SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE IK IM AIRING MYSELF OUT)??? the fact that he REMEMBERS and would probably keep his mouth clamped shut about it especially when he's supposed to be the Serious Team Leader and Strategist and he thinks Everyone Doesn't Like Him/doesn't know the nerdy shit he knows is SOOOOO enticing. i WANT this man to let loose for ONCE in his life, to finally give him a piece of his slacker life (like a tiny slice of cake since they're still going to suffer) and so i made miss albatross relentlessly, clumsily curious about him because of their mutual interest despite the Situation shes in. the two of them are deprived from their usual source of serotonin. what would happen if they finally find someone who actually knows what it is and gets it?

being transmigrated/reincarnated realistically SUCKS. cale could handle it because he's been through the wringer constantly and surviving the Literal Apocalypse, but for the average person in current world and age who's NOT a perfect strategist like cale? getting put in some random ass guy with a high likelihood of them being some poor kid/beggar on the street? yeah no. i wanted to really put into perspective the mindset of someone who's forced into this random ass world, surviving because you can't do anything else, and everything that essentially entails- anxiety, trauma, and all. it makes for a nice mirror to cale's situation that's been relatively smooth sailing (until he started puking blood + the War but that hasn't happened yet in the story hehe). miss albatross learned everything she needed to survive through the ten years she stayed in this world. she wasn't even a powerful, resilient person before getting in Nameless- a "horrible, selfish person". she was Not Built For This. but here she is. given a role she didn't want. this part is definitely inspired by final fantasy 14's dark knight quest/story + my own ff14 oc's!

miss albatross' relentless "mindset" of doing what she wants and being herself is stemmed from echidna re:zero's own relentless pursuit of knowledge... and also just me LOL i cannot even lie. the shit she pulled to getting kidnapped??? yeah id do it. i'd be petty as hell too if this guy regardless of my old fictional crush for him just throws off my plans outta nowhere. I GOTTA GET SOME RETRIBUTION AND TRY TO GET BACK ON TRACK NO MATTER WHAT!!!

...Taylor Swift Songs. i am Not Kidding this whole story is powered by taylor swift and so miss albatross is too. the albatross is a song from the tortured poets department and the thesis of the story. the series title, the bolter, is also a song from ttpd and basically what she did for 10 years. the chapter titles are from the albatross, the prophecy, and getaway car. they will continue to be this way im sorry.

im probably forgetting a lot but i think this is most of it. sorry if this is very manic, uni is kicking my ass and i wanted to answer as soon as i could auhghgkfdlgj. miss albatross' character is so so dear to me, i want to give as much justice as i can to conveying her silly journey <3

can i just say that the official en translation is more readable than the fan translation (for me personally)? weird name localization aside it's a really good read, just more cohesive compared to the fan translation. still poggers tho i get to read cale in different writing styles 🤤 also the fucking art NNGGHHFHGFGXGFGGGHHHH 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
