Dekurarka is definitely canon because who else jumped in to save this broccoli boy from dangerous tendrils and got stabbed protecting him? Who was so worried that they didn't think twice before stepping in to make sure Deku was safe and stop him from being anymore reckless or destroying his body in the process? Who's his childhood friend who was worrying about him therefore he presented his emotions the wrong way because he couldn't stand how selfless Izuku was?

It is okay my friend, I think we all want to yell right now. The villains are just that, villains. And they’re brilliant in their villainy and wow does Horikoshi do a brilliant job of making be absolutely despise them. 

Obviously I like the villains for their character and what they bring to My Hero, but holy fuck do I absolutely loathe them otherwise. And that’s the point, and I love that Hori can bring that out of us. It’s beautiful writing.

Oboro is a ghost that watches the slow-burn soap opera unfold with so much frustration. He just regrets not having them sit down, tie them together and have them confess before he left. But he couldn’t have expected those idiots would take so long to talk feelings to each other! His one regret (along with his ties to his body) is what keeps him there instead of moving on. He has unfinished business.
