Quizbowl practice had been interrupted by the Honor Student rushing in and demanding to talk to him. She wouldn't take no for an answer, nor had she taken "In a little while," "just gimme a second," or "can't we do it in here?" as answers either. Eventually he was simply forced to accompany her out into the hall.

"Couldn't you have talked to me earlier? I've got a team to run."

Honestly, this was more than a little strange, and this girl never took note of the “strange” for too long.
