Terrifying beings of all sorts had begun invading Spirale from the shores; though many citizens were relatively well-equipped to kill them in the only ways possible, Angela and Hana were not yet two of those people. Angela still had little to nothing in terms of self-defense and healing, aside from her own basic combat skills. Of course, she still patched wounds, just as she did now with Hana, who had luckily managed to receive only a small wound. “Exhausted, I imagine? Don’t worry; we’re out of there now. It’s a good thing you got away when you did, Hana.”
“Here — something to eat. I know it’s not much, but I grabbed what I could before leaving today just in case it was needed.” Angela was soft, gentle with her offer as she sanitized the wound, just in case the younger woman was more shaken than she would let on. They were only crackers and a few slices of cheese, but eating was something to do, something to distract from the mess that was occurring around them. Hana was an incredibly strong person in many ways, but Angela was not sure if they were quite close enough yet for her to feel comfortable confiding in her about something such as this: as the elder of the two, she decided to initiate the conversation. “I’m not sure what to make of this all. I’m lucky not to have seen anyone from my past... but others have not been so lucky. It’s heartbreaking.”
