the idea of lohen having to very much alive and actually completely well adjusted and loving parents is absolutely fucking hilarious actually. imagine meeting them for the first time.

the first time he featured of Varka's story quest I joked about hoping that he actually had two perfectly alive parents with no issues and actually had a pretty decent childhood and the reason he loves fighting is because. well. he's like that. and just having that actually happen minus the decent childhood part is so funny.

imagine dating him and it's already been a long while since you two have been in a relationship. and one day he mentions that he should probably introduce you to his parents soon (he forgot several times, he just didn't care enough to do it – the only reason he decided on a whim that they should I'd because you two have been dating for a while now and he figures he might as well get it over with.)

and you just. stare at him. like

"parents?"

"yup, haven't visited my parents in a while. my old man's pretty strict, and my mom's a huge worrywart. she was the biggest opposer when I joined the adventurer's guild back then, afraid that I'd get hurt fighting monsters all the time. heh"

"you have parents??"

it'd probably be more believable if this fucker was born in a lab, really. but no, he brought you over to his parent's house one afternoon because he had the free time to do so and he was bored, and also because he wanted to piss off his dad a little because he hadn't told them he had a lover yet.

the two are really nice people, you can see where lohen inherited his pretty boy genes from (curse his handsome face). but it's almost shocking to see the people who raised him be perfectly well adjusted and actually be quite polite and respectful. they do give their son quite a nagging for not introducing you sooner(he deserves it) but he just takes it in stride with that smile on his face. the dichotomy of their treatment between you and lohen is crazy-

"it's very nice to meet you dear. i'm very glad lohen's found himself a lass who can keep him in check. i'm sure you've had a a bit of trouble from time to time yes? sorry about that, we really can't do anything about that attitude of his. he was such a sweet boy back then before that incident. we've tried talking to him but-"

"LOHEN-"

his parents probably had to give a small (very concerned) interrogation about their son and how had he been doing recently and if he's been getting into trouble a lot and if you're really sure about dating him because I doubt they are oblivious to lohen's crazy tendencies either. you very much had to reassure them that yes – you can handle him and you love him very much and no he doesn't give you all that much trouble(at least not the kind of trouble you dislike, if yk what I mean)

i don't think lohen particularly cares about what his parents think of you(he literally forgot about introducing you to them several times because he found it too boring). he probably would've still continued regardless if his parents approved or not. he's already committed to loving you and he'd be damned before he let anything get in the way of your relationship, not even if his parents<3

i just saw a picture of lohen in a bunny suit. you know the one. and. and like. i. i think. imagine putting your tongue on his crotch and licking it up until the fabric is glistening with your saliva and you can feel his cock twitching underneath, before dragging your tongue up the length of his body all the way to his chest before pull away and then bite his pretty tie.

for all my bullshitting of lohen's characterization I could not tell you anything that explains the development of his psychopathic sadmasochistic personality. I think. I think he's. he's. he's just like that.

do you think the attachment issues I brought up in my lohen post was part the reason why avoided adorno for so long before he died in lohen's story quest. he knew that the only reason why adorno was still alive was because of the experiments theodore was conducting.

(i'd also like to add in that the whole title of the benevolent knight was probably another reason why avoided adorno. considering he knows lohen himself is not a benevolent knight and does not deserve the title nor does he want it but I'm not getting into that here.)

while one might thing his attitude was completely blasé over theodore's in regards to the experiments with ursa's flesh – actually, no, that's exactly how he was. he really seemed like he didn't care about theodore's goals to prolong adorno's life and only cared about what he would get out of it. i still think his motivations for helping theodore in his story quest was still out of selfishness and power, i also do think just a small, small part of him wanted adorno to live a little longer too, before or after the events of what happened on result, even if he wouldn't admit it to himself.

he's still capable of caring. considering the way lohen's voice broke down when he realized that his actions had ended up hurting adorno. i don't think he could ever bring himself to be vulnerable enough to cry over his grave, but I think deep down inside he really did care a lot, despite how much he avoided seeing adorno or the topic of him in the beginning.

isn't it funny how in trying to care less about it that he only focused on the experiments and avoided adorno but as a result of that carelessness he also ended up hurting adorno which led to the events up to his death. i don't know/don't remember if he had full confidence the experiment was ever going to succeed. but I feel like if he didn't then i feel like he knew that one day he'd lose adorno. inevitably, he'd known it was going to come sooner or later.

the whole push and pull with his attachment issues is crazy. I hate this man. am I making this up
