Melancholia. Mobile is the second part of the project, in which ABSV collective works with Lars von Trier's movie Melancholia.
Through video documentation of general mobile phone, screening landscape episodes from the movie, we focus on romantic and cliché view of the apocalyptic scenery perversely seen on the small display of low-budget mobile phone. “Hollywood-looking” scenes are showed through Lars von Trier’s famous “Dogme95 Manifesto” style: with its shaking hands and inexpensive camera, melting two different styles in one visually pleasing video piece.
