That’s exactly what they want and it makes no goddamn sense. The more of us that exist the better off we will be in terms of advocating for ourselves and our community. But they’d rather sell us out for their own gains and I don’t want anything to do with that.

I'm more of a ray the 2nd shipper but yes it's totally true

I’m trying not to get too attached to current Ray because I think second Ray is supposed to be the fan-favorite. Rumor has it, the show gets more gay. Which I can’t really imagine because its pretty gay right now and I’m only 4 episodes in.

Told this to viking girl and she thought it meant you had to suck the nipples of the bog bodies. She thinks sucking the nipples of the king is far more reasonable comparatively.

She’s not wrong. one of those is less gross than the other. I was definitely not expecting weird traditions from ancient Ireland to be the weirdest thing in an article on bog bodies.

I’m from the UK so I’m 100% with you on the constant disappointment. That said I like to find things to love about my country because I think seeing the potential in your home helps motivate you to push for change, you know?

Agreed, the current political climate has made me much more politically active in arguing for inclusive rights or against policies I find abhorrent. I’ve got so many stock letters from my MP that I want her booted out of office so bad.

14. do you enjoy your country’s cinema and/or TV?

Sometimes I do, yes. There are and there have been some good shows that have come out of Canada. Others are naval-gazing and self congratulatory. 

20. which sport is The Sport in your country?

Hockey (or Ice Hockey). And when you’re not an indoctrinated fan of the sport it gets rather pale. 

22. what makes you proud about your country? what makes you ashamed?

So many things make me ashamed of this country. Our current PM and his pushing through of the Trans Mountain Pipeline. Pretty much everything about the current PM in how he happily turned his back on every election promise that got him elected in the first place. How Indigenous people are treated here, the systemic racism and abuse hurled towards all Indigenous people. How pretty much all non-white peoples are treated here (if someone tells you that there is no racism in Canada they are purposefully naive).

I could probably think of something that makes me proud of Canada but, tight now, there is not very much at all. Normally I’d say something to the effect of the environment but with the PM’s pipeline plans that’s moot. 

I am still proudly Canadian, just a lot of what has been in the news recently makes me rub my temples in disappointment.
