OC-tober (from @thepromptfoundry 's list!) 1: "Introducing themself for the first time"

I'm probably gonna use this OC-tober list to get some more non-comic drawings of my new comic's characters! Melanodes doesn't get to introduce himself very often throughout the comic (lots of characters who just Know) but! I imagine his first introduction to working with Athenians in war is. Frustrating, at least. They become friends eventually. But sometimes you gotta stop the 'my state is better than yours' hazing before it really starts.
