Well, now than Birthing Pod is banned I have a pile of cards that aren't worth much.

Dipping my Toe in Modern

So for quite some time I have been wanting to get into the modern format, but as we all know even with Modern Masters being released, many cards are still very expensive.

But I was watching to GP Kansas City recently over on the youtubes and I really liked the style of both decks and really started to think about trying to buy up the pieces of one of the two decks. Then I end up going to an anime and gaming convention not to far from where I live and end up seeing many of the part of the Melira Pod deck in binders. And luckly for me I start trading for them and am getting quite a bit of what I need.

I now have my first decent modern deck and while it is far from tier one it is still really fun to play and I am going to continue to try and gather some more cards for the deck to make it batter and to have some more fun with it.

The Deck list and the cards I am going to add/remove are below the cut.

I may also add another Deathrite Shaman, but the only mana he can give right now is from evolving wilds, but I plan on removing them as well so I am not fully sure if he is worth it or if I should put in something else instead of him.

I just realized.

I participated in two drafts of Modern Masters and got one pack of it for a prize, and never in any of those 7 packs did I get anything for the Melira Pod deck I'm trying to build for modern. Not even a Kitchen Finks or Murderous Redcap, and they're still uncommon. I'm not sure you met your goals there, Wizards.
