I was in the shower, minding my own business, when suddenly an idea popped in my mind. What if The Arcana cast got reincarnated and the devil manage to get free? And then some type of apocalypse stuff happened because of it? I don't know if anyone has done this yet, but nyeh. Asra rubbed their eyes and rolled over to the bedside table to grab the phone. "Hello? Who is this?" they asked the unknown caller. "Good morning, Asra. I was wondering if you're still coming to our exam study group session today." a strong yet elegant female voice rang out from the other side. It's Nadia Satrinava.
Asra sprang out of their bed, having completely forgotten about the study group session today. "Yes yes, I'm still joining. Give me a few minutes, I'll be there soon. Bye Nadi!" Asra then hang up the call. They quickly get ready and pack their books.
While packing their books, Asra looks around the room for someone. 'Huh, I guess Y/n got up earlier than me.' Asra thought to themselves. Their dormmate, a.k.a Y/n is not here like the usual morning, they probably went out to grab breakfast or something, Asra thought.
After packing, Asra grab their bag and head out to Nadia's house that's located near the dorm.
Meanwhile, Y/n is at the nearby café with Melissa, a.k.a the college's local 'witch'. "Honestly, Y/n, this is really bad. He's coming back and yet, none of your friends got their past memories back," Melissa said in a hushed yet frantic tone, "Well, except those two people. They remembered already." they then took a big sip from their tea.
Y/n sigh softly, "It's okay, Mel. We'll find out a way soon, I'm sure of it." Y/n said, trying to reassure their frantic friend. "Y/n, my friend, I trust you, okay, I really do, but at this point I just want to go into a hole--" Melissa was cut off by Y/n grabbing their shoulders. "Calm down will you? It's not the end of the world. Yet." Y/n said softly.
Melissa took a deep breath and manage to calm themselves down, "Okay-okay, I'm calm. Now, what should we do?" they asked. "Why don't we call them?" Y/n said while pulling out a phone from their bag. "Sure. The more help the merrier, right?" Melissa grin at them.
"And that's why I think it's possible-" Julian's explanation was cut short by the sound of thunder. "Whoa, it's raining pretty heavy today. Wasn't it sunny earlier?" Portia asked while looking out the window. "The weather could be questionable sometimes, Portia. So it's understandable that it changed so quickly." answered Nadia who just came back from the kitchen.
"Still, it's kinda weird in my opinion." Lucio answered, "Everything is weird in your opinion." Muriel said while going back to his book. Lucio just gave him a side-glare.
While they continue their study session, the rain kept getting heavier and heavier every second. It was normal at first, but then they heard it. A female scream. Julian and Asra ran out first, the others then followed.
"All of you heard that... Right?" Julian asked while looking toward the woods near the College. "Well, obviously we all came out here for a reason, so yeah. We all heard it." Asra answered half-sarcastically. "Should we... Go check it out-?" Portia asked. "That's how people die in horror movies." Muriel answered flatly.
"But what if someone needs our help, Muriel?" while Asra is trying to convince Muriel, Nadia pulled out her phone from her pocket and sees a notification from the college's headmaster.
°Attention all students! Please stay inside your houses, dorms, or any building your in. By all means, do not come out until the next announcement. We and the local police are dealing with the problem right now. So please stay calm. Thank you for your attentions.°
Nadia scrolls through different social media of her friends to find out that some creature is lurking in the forest near the college. Nadia the quick drag everyone back inside the house, she then proceeded to tell the others about the situation.
"What?! Really???? What do you guys think it is? Is it some kind of demon creature??" Portia exclaimed with excitement. "Pasha, this is not a fanfiction! This is reality, we can die!" Julian shakes his little sister's shoulders to wake her up from her fantasy thoughts.
While the siblings are bickering, Asra quickly call Y/n to make sure they're okay. After a few failed attempts, Asra texted them asking if they're okay or not. When Asra received no answer, they began panicking. Muriel put his hand on their shoulder, "...Calm down, I'm sure Y/n is safe. They're smart." Muriel said, trying to calm his friend down.
Asra smiled at their oldest friend, "You're right, I shouldn't worry about them too much." they then let out a big sigh. Even so, Asra can't help but worry. Like something is telling them to look for Y/n. Asra can only hope that they're safe.
Both Y/n and Melissa ran through the rainy forests, trying to catch a sprinting creature. It turns out the unknown creature got something in its mouth, it's a tarot deck. To be specifically, Y/n's tarot deck. "Damn, Hayden ran pretty fast doesn't he?" Melissa chuckled lightly while running beside Y/n.
Y/n just sigh, feeling the exhaustion creeping in, "We need to get the cards back before something happen." they said while wiping their face. Melissa chuckled once more, "Alright-alright, I'll stop him." Melissa said, then cast a spell to make a barrier right in front of Hayden.
Poor Hayden, he doesn't realize that there's a barrier in front of him. Thus, he smacked straight into it with soft thud. He then forcefully have to sit down due to the impact of hitting his head on it.
Eventually, Melissa and Y/n manage yo catch up to him, "Hayden, give it back." Y/n said softly. Hayden whimpers a bit then gave Y/n the cards back. Thankfully, Hayden has done no damage to the cards. "Thank you, Hayden. Now, you should probably go before someone sees you." Melissa said while patting him.
Then all of the sudden, Hayden growls under his breath, looking deep into the woods, "Hayden...?" Y/n asked softly.
"Long time no see, Y/N..."
Well, thankfully I managed to hit the 1k word milestone for this first part of my AU. I'm gonna make multiple endings for this fanfic, just you wait. I might make separate posts for my MC and original creatures like Hayden too, and maybe the layout of the place. But until then, next up on my writing list, Obey Me! Headcanons. ( ͡°³ ͡°)
