I think hotness should still be considered cause in the comics she really describe as gorgeous and I think its a part of her and a part of where her confidence is from.
eh. hotness is 100% subjective, anyone in the world is super hot to at least some people. and then you get into the dangerous territory of valuing women for their looks only, none of the male actors in the franchise ever had the first comment about their casting be "ew not hot enough" or any other thing about their looks, while every other woman cast had that as nº1 comment with any sort of acting ability being thrown into the mix much later, if at all. plus, her confidence is all smoke and mirrors, it doesn't really have anything to do with how she looks and more about trying to cover something up. she just got lucky that she's conventionally attractive and could use it as her bread and butter which, ultimately, ends up being her downfall because she has the excuse of work not to deal with what she's really feeling

i’m really confused about when they wrote and shot the episodes. Like from what they said in the last interview, they are still writing and shooting the episodes right now so i guess the fans can have influenced them no? :/
I think obviously fans can have influence on the show, but not to the extent where it would alter the direction of say an entire season. Do I make sense? before the fans can finish watching one season they've already wrapped it up, and are writing the next one.. I think they were shooting S4 before season 3 finished airing. Even if they're still writing and shooting S4, we haven't seen any of it yet, so we're not able to react to it and thus can't influence them.
