@mellovelo is a major feel good kinda place for so many reasons. It’s a bike shop and cafe on a level most of us could only dream of creating. @onion.sauce met Steve and Sara a few years ago at a @qualitybike event when they had a small shop in Syracuse, NY and were about to purchase an abandoned warehouse for their shop and add a proper cafe. While a generation is too often accused of spending all their time on computers, it simply isn’t true. They have worked and sweated a lot. These two, @nphueber and their crew have restored this wooden floor massive factory building. Being wildly creative and thoughtful the entire place is curated ingeniously. @bikethomson bags were used for the benches in the cafe with details like that at every corner. If you are a bike nerd, want to be generally inspired, or a foodie (try the vegan dishes with actual bacon according to Chris who visited them today) you should head to this place. While so much in the world seems overwhelmingly crappy, the breath of fresh air seeing this space is society affirming. We are on the right track with a generation like these people on their game. Don’t just take it from us. Apparently lots of people get it. @modestmouse stopped in their place incognito yesterday and wore their shop jersey during his concert last night. So much goodness and hope and amazing creativity. #inspired #mellovelo #bikeshop #bikeshopfriends #unpredictyourjourney #creativity (at Mello Velo Bicycle Shop and Cafe) https://www.instagram.com/p/BoeoYgPhT93/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17umbglqasfpt
