writing my chapter where a newly physically disabled character thinks she is worthless and wishes she had died and refuses help from everyone bc she thinks its shameful that her body doesnt work the same but shaking my head the whole time so the reader knows I dont agree
a core concept of my book being 'you can never go back home' and the fact that in +10 years of writing, after changing the story slightly and restarting again and again, I have never reached the point where my main character leaves her first home . which could mean anything

lmao half of my (creative) writing process is just going thru the chapter after a month or more has passed and deleting full sentences that dont matter at all, or removing 1 adjective from a description (bc im alllllways going "the 'X' was 'Y' and 'Z'") and its like. yes girl you need to stop overexplaining everything
