I was just sitting thinking and I had an idea for a fanfic of Gortimer Gibbon's Life On Normal Street where Mel Fuller "borrows" her older self's time machine and jumps back to the day of the accident, desperate to stop her mum from dying, but despite her best efforts attempting to dissuade her mum from leaving she goes out anyway, but Mel being Mel creates a contraption that will stop the car from crashing into her mum's and crouches by the road behind a tree waiting to spring her trap while growing more and more anxious until finally she has her opportunity but her invention instead causes the car accident, and it turns out that it was her going back in time to save her mum that caused her mum to die in the first place and she's hopelessly trapped in this destiny and that's where the episode ends and I'm going to go cry my heart out for a week now
