I really wish I could love autumn more... I do I do...
But it’s just a horrible reminder that winter is next. I don’t like being cold (not the kind of cold that Minnesota winters mean, anyway). I don’t like not being able to just “go out” if I need to run errands. I don’t like watching my plants die, nor do I enjoy babying them inside during the winter in hopes that they will survive. I don’t like having to wake up an hour earlier every day because I have to walk two and a half miles to work if the snow is too deep or the roads are too icy. It’s really dark out at 5am in the winter! That’s no fun to walk in! I don’t drive, and even if I did I’d probably be terrified to drive in the snow.
I can’t enjoy fall because the more leaves crunching under my feet the closer it is to slick roads and -30F windchills. I hate that I can’t enjoy fall. I miss Seattle. It was just summer to fall and maybe a snowfall or two and then right back to spring...
Finally contacted a realtor about a house/land that has been for sale for nearly a year now to see if I could get some info on why the heck it hasn’t sold yet. Well, I didn’t ask it that way... but ya know.
I like the area and there is a lot of land for a ridiculously cheap price, so there has to be more to it than I can find in my research.
I could put $3k down on this thing and pay less than $200 a month for this land and as we live here, we could slowly dismantle the current house (old and mostly useless) and rebuild. I want laaaannddd. My own hoousseee. A gardeeennnn...
My laptop can go jump off a fucking cliff. I have been working on some artsy researchy stuff that required a bazillion open tabs and two separate word documents with sources and outlines and shit. Been doing this all morning with Vert few saves because fuck that I'm too busy to save. BUT I GET UP TO USE THE MOTHERFLIPPING BATHROOM, YEAH? AND I COME BACK... And it's freaking UPDATING despite never giving me a popup to confirm or anything. I have no idea how many hours of work I just lost. Suck my dick, laptop. Also this is the slowest damn update ever I have been sitting here for ten minutes and it has barely moved ten percent.
My apartment is finally feeling like a place I wouldn’t be ashamed to have people over at.
If I could just get my upstairs neighbors to move out and a relatively sane person to move in, I definitely wouldn’t mind staying here longer. I mean, it absolutely hurts my heart that I don’t have a real garden... but I’m learning to literally contain that. Lol, container gardening humor.
It looks like *I* live here, not some broke college kid with weird hobbies.
Wow I just got rid of 1/5 of the blogs I was following because of inactivity. Such a bummer. Oh well, it happens.
Now time to replace them all! Bwahahahaha.
Well in the five days I didn’t eat food I apparently have forgotten how to make food. Now I’m hungry and I want another tuna sandwich but I don’t want to leave the apartment. I’m just going to stare at the can of tuna and loaf of bread until something happens I guess. However, I did not forget how to clean the snake tank or use power tools and wood glue because I cleaned the snake tank and built a laundry drying rack this morning. Yay for feeling better! I want to do laundry but I gotta wait for that drying rack contraption to set for a couple more hours. Boo.
I'm ALLIIVVEEEEEE. But barely, it feels like. Apparently if you eat like, two saltine crackers a day and keep a 102 fever for five days you lose six pounds. Ugh. This should have been a great week after that win on Tuesday but it was completely miserable. I'm feeling a little better now though. I got hungry for the first time last night and ate an entire 6in tuna sub without a problem and as of this morning my fever is gone. Still have an angry tummy but I guess I can't get all better all at once. At least I have this last day off to finish recovering.
