Rule 2: Answer the questions the person who tagged you has written and write 11 new ones.
Rule 3: Tag 11 new people and link them to your post.
Rule 4: Let them know you’ve tagged them.
Under a cut for length
1) Who is your OTP, what fandom(s) are they from, and what makes them such a perfect pairing?
My daily OTP changes from day to day (hence the daily), but right now I'm digging a Wholock crossover with Rose and Loki under the premise that after the Bifrost incident he ends up in Zeppelin world. Or Nine/Rose/Jack as a BroT3 (not OT3, mind you. Just as bros.) out of principle and love for Team TARDIS numero uno. However, LokixSif as played by Liesmith-loki and Siffed beats those two out.
2) What is your favorite ship name? (Completely separate question from the first, as my favorite ship name is CapsLok, but I DO NOT sail this ship.)
Capsicoul is a fun one.
3) What is your favorite book and why?
Instead of arguing how it isn't fair to make me choose one, have a list.
Slaughterhouse-Five: I'm currently writing the big paper of the year on this book, and the more I reread and analyze it, the more I find I love the dark humor and seemingly random details and the idea of a Tralfamadorian worldview. Not to mention the fact that if I had been born a few years earlier, I could have gone to the writing workshop he mentions several times while he was instructing it.
Depraved and Insulting English: it's full of wonderful ways to insult someone. My favorites include hircine (smelling like a goat), cacafuego (full of hot air. lit: shitfire), and cockalorum (self-important little man).
The Gone Series: Michael Grant is the type of delectably horrific writer you wouldn't want to share a taxi with. Think Lord of the Flies with radiation in a giant bubble. Illness breaks out and people cough up lungs. Coyotes start to talk. Monopoly money becomes real currency. Someone turns into the Thing. Good times are had by few.
The Princess Bride: it would be inconceivable to exclude this satirical fairy tale from my list. Also, in fourth grade I felt like a little badass reading a book that said "What happens when the beautifullest woman in the world marries the handsomest prince in the world and he turns out to be a son of a bitch?" on the back.
Voices From Chernobyl: A collection of monologues from the victims and relatives of the incident in the Spring of 1986. Every time I read the story of the worker who gave his son his hat and watched the boy develop a brain tumor, I turn into a blubbering mess. Worth your time: 10/10 would recommend.
4) If you could travel anywhere on Earth right now, where would you go?
Right now I'm in a dress and tights without shoes, so probably San Francisco, because I know people there and can get things like food and transportation and the like. Now, if I could get on a plane and have everything I needed when I arrived, I'd like to see Petra, Sana'a, or Angkor Wat.
5) Is there anything that has been discontinued that makes you want to beat your face in with a blunt object because you loved it so much and now it’s gone?
Season two of Torchwood (it all went downhill from there). Digging for the Truth. My phone that glitched and died and I had to get a stupid one because they didn't have any replacements.
6) Who is your favorite underrated character that you wish more people loved?
How am I supposed to know they're underrated if I don't feel that way about them, hmm? Maybe the Ninth Doctor, because Nine was the bomb. Or Hawkeye, because Iowans are BAMF.
7) Who is your favorite overrated character that you love shamelessly?
ROES TYLER.
8) How did you first discover tumblr, and how has your opinion of tumblr changed since then?
I actually joined Tumblr for a contest this writing website I belonged to was having. Then it became less pseudo-hipster writing blog and more "I post what I want including stupid text posts and science and Arabic and fandoms." Then I added a writing blog of my own.
9) What’s your favorite game/game series? (Or, if you don’t play video games, why not?)
We never had any game consoles besides our computer, so my "gaming" life was all with CDs. Basically any simulation game that puts me in control. So Oregon Trail, The Sims, Civilization, and Pharaoh.
10) How much might you have accomplished in life by now if you hadn’t spent so much time playing said game series? (Or, how much better is your life than mine because you haven’t wasted most of it playing video games?)
I could have slept in the summer, but then I wouldn't have started on my quest to rule the world at an early age, so there's that.
11) How much are you questioning our friendship right now for my coming up with all these really lame questions and tagging you in this thing? (Or, how much are you wondering why I tagged you in this thing in the first place because we don’t talk, like, ever?)
On a scale of 1 to Javert after Valjean lets him go free, I'd say a strong, independent black woman who don't need no man.
My questions for you:
In the middle of the room you're in right now, spin around and point to something. If it fell on you, how screwed would you be?
Rate how stressed exams make you.
What should you be doing right now instead of being on Tumblr?
Is there a certain food that you used to love but can't stand to eat anymore? What is it and (maybe) why?
Name some habits you had as a little kid that you haven't grown out of?
What is the capital of Mongolia?
Shuffle your iTunes playlist. List the first 5 songs and your favorite lines from them.
If you were a superhero/villain, what would your name be and which power(s) would you have?
Describe your backpack/purse. (If you have neither, choose some other similar thing.)
Do you often remember your dreams?
You have been granted instant fluency in any three languages. Which do you choose?
