Day 4, Desperation and Hope. I've drawn the inside of the prison dungeon, before and now I finally draw the outside! Also I'm slowly developing my original story more, so here's some of the new cast!

I’m forever thinking about how it must’ve been such a bittersweet moment for Melody when she regenerated into River…

Because on one hand, she finally gets to call her parents… her parents.

And you can see how long she’s been waiting to say those words. Just how long she’s been waiting to tell them.

But on the other hand, Mels had a face that Rory and Amy would recognise anywhere, in any time and place she came across them.

But now, with no warning, she is River.

And soon, there will come days where her mother and father will look into her face and not recognise her at all. Not yet as River, but not as Mels either.

And how terrifying that must’ve felt.

To know that a day will come where, to Rory and Amy.. as either River Song or Melody Pond, she’ll be nothing but a stranger.

And then, they leave her there. In that hospital in the future, with no way of returning to the life she’d had on earth or of travelling on with them.

It must’ve felt like one of the loneliest things in the world.

But at least she’d finally been able to call Amy her mother.

I am soooo addicted to tumblr since there are many people that I can interact with and talk about Thunderbolts* because nobody near me loves Marvel or at least love Thunderbolts and it feels like I am in a desert or an isolated island or smth

this is a dump of really old early concept art for Stardust. all of it originates from around 2013-2015, so about ten years before i started publishing the final version. i used to be a pretty prolific visual artist before my wrist & forearms began degrading too acutely.

1 is a sketch of Axel's potential apartment (featuring a character i have since cut). 2 is a sketch of Lake and July, 3 is a Homestuck-style talksprite of June. 4 is an early draft of Nea flirting with a character i eventually cut, and 5 is a concept sketch of July and Lake on some city rooftops that i was thinking about turning into a cover or something. 6 is just a July doodle, 7 & 8 are concept sketches for what would eventually become the Dreaming, featuring July and Axel respectively. 9 is July & Axel, 10 is a really early design of Mels, 11 is June and 12 is another July sketch.

i did not include any early Cas designs because the character who Cas replaced from the early drafts was a dorky white girl who gave off the vague impression of seeing herself as the protagonist of Divergent, and honestly, i am fine with keeping that deep, deep in the archives.
