I am happy to be in my third week as Emmanuel College’s Artist-in-Residence. Spending the last three weeks creating across Boston has been a unique and beautiful experience, and I am excited for the next three weeks. Send me a message on Instagram @williammarksommer if you would like to meet up.
Now in its 14th summer, the program offers four artists a six-week residency — early June through mid-July — dedicated time and space to develop new work within a collaborative academic community. Residencies are awarded across four disciplines: Ceramics, Photography, Printmaking, and Social Practice. Beyond individual practice, residents contribute to the creative life of campus through engagement, dialogue, and public exhibition.
