Soos and Melody would spoil Stan so bad once they get Ford to lay off a bit. The amount of praising (regular AND kinky) is so overboard.
Soos and Melody are bad don't get me wrong, Stan so much as huffs wrong and they're making him sit down giving him smth to eat making sure he's okay spoiling him rotten. But Stan is objectively worse
Stan's got some severe nesting habits, he used to make the nest for both him and Ford (Ford refused to make his own he thought it was beneath him like he wouldnt be crawling into Stan's within an hour) and then he was living in his car which he never really unmade from being a nest because it was the only thing he had was this one little comfortable space where he was safe so he was kinda nesting constantly. And then he was in Ford's house and his house is too damn big Stan just bunkers down in his little corner and tries not to look at all the rooms too closely unless he needs the space for a display. He was starting to ween off of the need for a tiny little corner safe space until Ford came back and very timidly asked Stan how to make a nest. And Stan immediately went a very odd flavor of feral. Sometimes he gets wishy-washy like 'oh maybe we should take down the nest in the Stan o war it takes up a lot of space and we don't get heatwaves that often' but Ford refuses because he loves having a little safe space so much. Then Stan comes back to gravity falls and he's almost acting normal. But then he has a heatwave and he makes another nest but Soos and Melody are there so it gets even More family stuff which melts Stan into a goo. What was my point here. Oh yeah. Pregnant Stan is a menace because his already borderline feral nesting habits triple, and also Stan is a thief. Soos tries to get dressed for work one day and his pants are just Gone. Melody hasn't been able to find any of her hats for days. Ford is very smugly wearing his gray sweater because his red one went missing, Stan will not admit anything and any time one of them tries to take something back he acts like they've spit on his mother's grave. It's hell. Soos and Melody couldn't ask for anything else
Ford had missed his old house, just a bit. It was Soos’ now, of course, but still. Designing and having the house built was a labor of love. It had sheltered Stan for three decades, still had evidence of the kids’ previous Summer stay, and had been the only true place of refuge for the town's residents when Bill attempted his takeover of their universe. It was special to Ford, even if he called the Stan O’ War II home now. It'd always have a place in his heart.
He had so many wonderful memories here. A lot of muscle memory, too, even after almost a year out at sea. Which must be why, after searching for Stanley all throughout the Mystery Shack and house proper, he went into Stan's old bedroom unannounced.
He did, in fact, find Stan there. As well as Melody. Fitting, considering that Stan's previous bedroom now belonged to her and Soos. And there, he found his brother wrapped in an embrace with her, lips locked together and eyes closed in bliss, one of Stan's large hands tilting her chin up just so.
The moment hung in the air and Stanford found himself unable to look away. Unable to move. Barely able to think as he watched his brother tenderly embrace and kiss someone who Ford assumed he thought of as a future pseudo daughter-in-law. He could remember the little Stan had told him of Soos’ past, but what clearly came to mind was how much Soos valued Stan, how highly he thought of him, how Soos clearly loved him almost like a father. How could Stan do this to him? How could he just betray him like this? Shock, anger, and disgust boiled within Stanford so deep that he began to physically tremble.
“STANLEY PINES!” The sudden shout escaped from Ford's throat before he could even register he'd said anything.
Stan and Melody leapt away from each other's touch like they'd been scalded. Both pairs of eyes were wide with shock, and Stan clutched at his chest, heaving.
“Moses, Six, ya almost gave me an’ Mel a heart attack!”
“Oh, ‘Mel!’ ‘Mel’, he calls her! I had no idea you two were so close.”
Melody held her hands up in defense, stepping forward. “Dr. Pines, please, this isn't what it looks like.”
Stanford whirled around, expression morphing into something more sad than angry. “Melody, I just saw you.”
“I know, but–”
“How could you do this to Soos? I can understand Stan doing something like this, but you? Imagine how Soos would feel if he knew!”
“Hey,” Stan barked, crossing his arms over his chest. “I may bend the rules on what counts as legal or moral even on my best days, but I don't appreciate ya thinkin’ I'd stab Soos in the back like that.”
Melody placed a comforting hand in Stan's arm.
Ford let out a ridiculous noise, something that sounded like a disbelieving, incredulous scoff as he gestured at the situation around them.
“What do you call this?!”
“A misunderstanding,” Melody replied.
“What exactly is there to misunderstand?”
“You're lacking crucial information, Poindexter. ‘Course you're gonna come to the wrong conclusions.”
“Oh, please,” Stanford rolled his eyes. “I have half a mind to go tell Soos right now.”
Stan smirked. “Yeah, you're right. You should tell him.”
“Tell me what?”
Ford turned, and there he was. Standing in the doorway of the bedroom was Soos, dressed in Stanley's old Mr. Mystery outfit, likely fresh from a tour. Ford gaped up at him for a moment, unable to even say a single word before Stan brushed past him, arms outstretched.
“He wants ta tell ya the secret's out,” Stan grinned, wrapping his hands around Soos’ shoulders. “C'mere, baby.”
And then they kissed. Stan kissed Soos. On the lips. And Soos looked completely content. Pleasantly surprised, even! And then he was kissing back. Stan and Soos were kissing in front of him just after he'd caught Stan and Melody doing the same thing. For a moment, Ford's brain went completely blank before rebooting itself like one of Fiddleford’s “laptops.”
And then, as if to add insult to injury, Melody caught Ford's eye with a grin as she passed him by so she, too, could greet Soos with a smooch.
All three of them looked at him, with Melody on one side of Soos and Stan on the other. Soos’ large arms wrapped around the both of them as they exchanged looks amongst themselves and at Ford. And suddenly the picture became much clearer.
“Ah. I see. And when exactly were you planning on informing me of this, Stan?”
Stan clutched his hands together, shrugging. “Didn't really know how to tell ya. Honestly, can hardly believe it myself. Don't know what these two see in me.”
“Oh, hush,” Melody chided.
Stan continued. “But they like me, an’ I like them. Around the time we got phones to keep in contact with the kids, so me, Soos an’ Mel started talking over the phone. Mostly by text, but I'd call ‘em when I'd get a moment alone.”
“Soos told me he's liked Stan for a really long time,” Melody added. “I wanted to see what he saw in him. He seemed so interesting. I had no idea the fabled Mr. Pines was such a sweetheart.” She reached over to pinch Stan's stubbly cheek. “I couldn't help but fall for him, too.”
“Aw, Mel…” Stan looked away, red dusting at his cheeks. “Ah, besides, it's the perfect set-up. I get to go sailing with you, they get to stay here, we can still talk while at sea, and they only get me for three months outta the year so there's not enough time for ‘em to get sick of me.”
“Don't say that, dude, we never get tired of you!”
It was a sweet scene. Adorable, even. But, inside, Stanford couldn't help but feel… Hollow.
“And you didn't think you could tell me?”
“It– it's not that, it's just… I mean, it's not like I'm ashamed or anythin’, but you know me an’ Soos’ history by now. It's kinda weird.”
“Stanley, as the resident Oddologist here, I'm more than accepting of relationship dynamics that fall outside of what society at large perceives as normal. Frankly, as long as everyone involved is in agreement and happy with it, why would I have any issue with it? And,” Ford paused, a sincere smile rising to his lips as he met his brother's gaze. “As long as you're happy, that's all that matters to me.”
Stan returned his grin, smile reaching his eyes. Ford watched as Stan looked between him and… His partners.
“I am,” Stan said. “I'm really happy.”
“Yes!”
“Group hug!” Soos announced.
He threw his arms around Stanley in a tight bear hug from behind. Then, Melody joined in the front, wrapping her arms around Stan and caging him between the two of them.
“Sixer! Save me!” Stan laughed. “The affection! It burns!”
“C'mon, Dr. Pines, group hug!” Melody waved him over.
Ford took a second to just watch. It wasn't the exact relationship dynamic he assumed Stanley had with them, but… Well, they made him happy and he did the same for them, and he'd still be able to live their shared dream of sailing the seas and exploring the world together. What more could he ask for?
So, Ford, too, surrounded Stan in an embrace and sealed his poor twin's fate of receiving the love he so deeply deserved.
Hear me out. Alphas Soos and Melody taking care of Stan <3
Maybe he's a bit oblivious at first. He could assume that the way they mother-hen over him is just typical Soos behavior and how Melody acts. But he's not stupid. He knows courting when he sees it. He knows what it's like, to be targeted by two alphas. Not like Soos or Melody, though. Nothing like them. They're different. The touches are different, too. Gentle, like when they redirect him into the house, into the den, insisting that now that's he's on land, he's on vacation. Let them take care of everything. Maybe that's why it took so long for him to realize what they were doing.
And maybe that's why he doesn't feel as guilty as he feels he should, taking them up on their offer to help him through his heat. Not like he had much of a choice. He was shaking, blood like magma in his veins as he lay in the nest he'd thrown together in the couple's bed. When he's back in his right mind, in the moments between heatwaves, he prays that it won't ruin the marriage. Somehow, the next day, they seem happier than ever. More affectionate to him, too.
Sometimes, when no one's looking, he'll press the scent gland on his wrist against theirs, just to watch how flustered the couple get.
I love your posts btw aaa <3

FORDLEE YOUR BRAIN IS BEAUTIFUL LOCK THAT SHIT DOWN FOR THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE
Augh Soos and Melody both being alphas On Its Own already has me, now I'm thinking way too much into the ageplay/abdl implications from Melody finding a giant alpha riding a little toy train and being like 'yep that one' she needs that man twice her size that in all rights could snap her in thirds to be her sweet baby boy.
And how Soos is with Stan absolutely Fascinates her. Soos is just so eager to please, hanging onto Stan's every word, and Stan's so soft for him when he's such a grump with everyone else. She needs to mash them together like dolls
Stan has never been more confused in his life, he's gotten almost a whole year sailing with his brother and he's so happy and he comes home and he isn't really surprised that girl Soos found himself was an alpha because Soos has always been kinda wired oddly - not aggressive enough to be any of the alphas Stan's known. He is surprised he managed to find an alpha wired just as weirdly as him, because she's as sweet and doting as Soos is and part of Stan is arguing that he's not that old they don't need to talk to him like they're his nurses but another part has never really had this before. It takes him a little longer to clock that they're trying to court him than usual because usually when two alphas are trying to properly court the same omega it's a lot more violent, but they're just as cute with eachother as ever. At first he tries to put an end to it without directly acknowledging it, avoiding touches he used to lean into, spending more time out of the house, but he fucking hates walking on eggshells around people and when one of his annoying fucking heatwaves starts he wants the touches back and when Soos and Melody ask if they can help he gives up the pretenses and gets reminded how great it is getting taken care of for a heat.
And he can't justify the same guilt as he would if it was Soos alone - Soos wasn't alone, Soos and Melody outnumbered him, they had all the control in the situation, Soos isn't reliant on anything from Stan anymore and Soos isn't by himself. They're just a weird young couple that want to jump his old man bones for some reason and Stan can't really figure out why but he's not complaining. Much.
And of course once Stan has established that the world isn't going to explode from him being happy he's gotta be a massive fucking tease. Stan is constantly following Soos' tours and when the group is looking at something Stan will just put his chin on Soos' shoulder and start purring because Soos' brain melts a little every time. Soos is never a brat so Melody is not prepared for Stan bending way too far to lean on the counter next to her and putting his scent on her clothes and casually talking about how he always wanted to carry a few kids of his own. Both of them are going insane and revisiting the 'no sex at work' rule
Your last reblog got me thinking about Soos, Melody, and Ford all being totally subby alphas for Stan
This is for the best.
Ford isn't good at being dominant because he gets resentful from it, even platonically Ford just isn't good at taking control while also holding respect for the people he's in control of (he thought Stanley was a useless leach in highschool because Stanley followed his lead, he stopped respecting Fiddleford's opinions when Fiddleford became his subordinate, he underestimated Bill's power over him because Bill was His Muse) but Stan is loyal to him and Stan knows better than him (he would have torn his family apart or died between dimensions without him) so he tries to follow Stan's lead because it's more comfortable than following his own
Soos doesn't like some of his alpha symptoms, he doesn't like snapping at people when he's not really angry, so he's kind of been hiding behind Stan for his ruts since he presented. Stan's always taken care of him, given him water and his suit jacket and driven him home while Soos apologized over and over. Following what Stan says is natural to him, Stan knows what to do all he has to do is listen.
Melody is different, she doesn't have the longevity they do. But she does respect him as an authority, even though she's pretty dominant herself she listens to what Stan has to say and takes it into consideration. It's part good bdsm etiquette and part when things get tense Stan can keep Soos And Ford in check and not just Soos
Soos and Melody both having a breeding kink, and making it Stan's problem (he's enjoying it, but won't admit it)
Stan is used to breeding kinks but like,,, meaner? Like breeding is all he's good for yk? Except the problem is Soos and Melody don't do that they're using his praise kink against him like 'you would be so pretty and so good at carrying our kids' and Stan can't handle that they're too sweet taking care of him he's gonna get cavities
Soos is a sub like 90% of the time, but Stan and Melody like to switch pretty often
They also make Soos watch (he likes it)
Stan does like being the center of attention but also he likes Melody because she's a bit more snappy with him, Soos can take control but Melody is gonna tell him what's best for him and make him listen, yk?
Soos loves watching them interact, even if it's just bickering, and especially when they fight over him because it makes him feel special. Stan and Mel are arguing over who he's a better boy to while he's getting spit-roasted within an inch of his life.
When it's just Stan and Mel, though, usually Stan bottoms, and when he tops it's because he's "teaching" Soos proper munching etiquette
WAIT hold on hold on. soosford where they're sneaking around behind stan's & melody's backs only to find out that melstan is doing the same thing. polyamory happyending..........smiles serenely
