I've been thinking of breaking up Meltcold, it's just hard to develop them but like, THEY WERE A FAMOUS AND BELOVED COUPLE IN THE MEDIA AND EVEN THE VILLAINS SEE THE NEWS AND THEY'RE LIKE: "WHAT-" but basically, Vincent just noticing how Blaise seems more focused on fame and yeah, she was pretty focused on that before but she still wanted to be a genuine hero but because of Warden, she's gotten better at ignoring emergencies and he's all: "...I think we need a break. I get that HALT controls our lives but now, I feel like they finally broke you."

"You literally can't live with me, Vincent, and you want to break up?"

"I didn't say anything about breaking up, I'm just saying I want a break. Look, I don't mind you getting the spotlight but it's exaughsting when I start to feel like that's all you care about."

"That's...that's not true. Vinny, baby, you know I love you."

and he just shrugs and he's all: "I guess but with the way you're acting, I don't know if I can still say the same."

and Blaise frowning and the media is LITTERED WITH NEWS ABOUT HOW THEY MIGHT NOT BE TOGETHER. They're not seen in public as often, Blaise is often seen being more flirty with Troy as an effort to rile up Vincent but Vincent doesn't seem to care, and Blaise just cutting interviews short to talk to him and it doesn't seem like the conversation is going well.

BUT ALSO, LIKE, Lisa having to cancel on Ramone and he's all: "Lemme guess, Warden?"

Lisa: "...No."

and he can hear Blaise ugly crying from the other side and is all: "HE THINKS I'M A BAD GIRLFRIEND! I'M NOT A BAD ANYTHING! UGH, HE'S SUCH A LOSER, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I'M CRYING."

and then Vincent being more shut in inside his lab and Angelo walks in awkwardly and he's all: "...Do you want to talk?"

"No."

"Good. I'll tell Lisa you're devastated."

NO BLAISE AND VINCENT RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT HONESTLY:

Vincent's parents being the scientists who worked on Blaise, though. Like, they were creating a nuclear weapon for Amanda but realized they could create a cure for their son and his illness. So Vincent stumbles on her when he visits their lab and he just is shocked and outraged how his parents could do this (HE'S LIKE AMIAS WHERE HE FREEZES EVERYTHING HE TOUCHES BUT HE KINDA STEALS WARMTH FROM OTHER PEOPLE) but Blaise just tells him to calm down, not even knowing who he is and touches him and he's all: "NO, DON'T, YOU'LL....Not...freeze?"

and she frowns and raises an eyebrow because of course she isn't gonna freeze but he just stares at her in amazement. Blaise is literally so hot and warm that Vincent can literally touch her and steal some of it but she won't ever die or freeze because of it, she's an endless supply of warmth.

So during interviews, Vincent is shamelessly near her at all times. Maybe she's giving him a piggy back ride, maybe he's just holding her hand, but he desperately loves to be near Blaise and Blaise loves to be near him just as much. Like, even if they're mad at each other;

Vincent literally sitting on her lap during HALT meetings and Troy is all: "I thought you guys were fighting."

Blaise: "We are, that doesn't mean we don't still love each other."

Vincent: "Sorry, did someone say something?"

Blaise: "Very mature, Vinny."

Vincent: "Who is saying that stuff? Can't be Blaise because she's CURRENTLY DEAD TO ME."

Okay rewatching Record of Ragnarok and it gave me an idea for a post but Vicent is secretly a romantic lover boy ngl. Yeah, he teases Blaise a lot but he does love her so imagine Warden yelling at her and getting after her for destroying an important piece of equipment and telling her he was sending her back to the lab (he's gonna be ignorant about what happened to her bc I like him not knowing the pain his team is going through) and so, Vincent just walks in and puts his hand on the walls and walks towards them and the walls freeze so fast they collapse and Warden just looks at him and Vincent is all: "Whoops. My bad."

and he walks over to Blaise and says: "If you're going back there, I'm going with you."

and Blaise grabs his hand and smiles at him while Warden is just fuming and Lisa is all: "Aw♡"

Vincent's story is also gonna be drastically different (lol, I'm gonna obsess over them tonight because fire and ice) where he isn't friends with Nancy or any of the Gotham Rouges and is a Metropolis "hero" like Blaise and they're like a famous media couple.

The media doesn't know about Vincent's condition except for Blaise so she knows how to read him and stuff and when he's starting to feel weak and when the temperature gets to him. Not to mention that she does kinda treat him like he's fragile because she knows that the odds of him staying alive are VERY small but she will do everything she can to try and help him, even if he gets annoyed.

Since he has powers, he's about to create an ice wall to a bunch of criminals who are shooting at him but Blaise makes a fire wall and beats them up and Vincent is all: "I had that..."

"I know, I know, I just...I worry."

"Aw, don't let the media see their favorite strong woman hero get soft."

"Sh-Shut up and die!"

"Currently in the process of that, babe."

"WAIT, NO, I DIDN'T MEAN- Sorry!"

NO BECAUSE VINCENT CAN'T GET TOO HOT OR ELSE HE'LL DIE BUT HE ALSO CAN'T BE TOO COLD BECAUSE HE'LL DIE SO BLAISE ADJUSTING HER BODY TEMP WHEN HIS SUIT IS BROKEN OR SOMETHING AND OVERALL JUST FLIRTS WITH HIM.
