            After decorating a little bit, Tony was standing beneath a mistletoe he had placed in the doorway to one of the kitchens, waiting for Steve, when instead Peter came running around the corner. He scooped him up as he was running straight towards him and took him up into his arm. Ever since Christmas was getting closer the boy seemed to get more restless and Tony hoped it was because he was being excited about the holiday and not because of another bad memory they didn’t know about yet.

      “Hey, what’s the hurry? I was waiting for your dad and now...,” Tony looked up at the mistletoe and back down to the kid, “I am afraid I have to kiss you.”            Holding him tight, Tony quickly moved in to peck the boy’s cheek, before he let him down again.      “Go brush your teeth.”

           Snow. It was everywhere, still. For days and days snow had been falling and Tony had watched it through a window, grimed and darkened. Outside, the world was white and pure and clean, but he was trapped in a world of dust and decay with memories he didn’t understand and questions nobody was answering.            His luck, that the mind of a child was not yet the same as that of an adult. Naivety had saved him for now.            Then, bored out of his mind, Tony had seen an opportunity. Quickly, he had put on his jacket and stretched to reach the handle of the door. The last moment before he could reach it, he looked at his small, naked hand, and ran back to get his gloves. He didn’t like them, but his mother said he had to wear them, so he wouldn’t get ill. When she came back, she would hate to see him outside without them.            Outside was cold. Wind howled into the open door of the cabin behind him, as he made a few steps and then fell over, face first into the snow. A yelp was followed by sounds from inside the house, but Tony had enough tim to get up on his knees and start gathering snow haphazardly. A snowman. That would help him.            Tony hadn’t come far, when someone joined him. The man, he had spent his time with the last few days or weeks, asking when he could go home and if his parents would come and get him soon.      “You make a snowman too. We both make a snowman, but!”            Tony twisted around, landing on his butt, then he held up a hand towards the man.      “BUT! Mine is beautifuler, I can CRUSH yours.”            Tony hit his hand into his other hand. He had been meaning to make a fist, but it hadn’t worked due to the gloves and his lacking motor abilities.
