       It had been a good mission that had gone wrong at the last second, she failed as did her team. Natasha didn’t want to speak about it to anyone, not even her thoughts, she quickly made her way out of the quinjet shoving past people who were trying to stop her. Her body was bruised and bloody, her leg was basically immobile as she wobbled her way to the apartment she shared with James. That’s who she needed right now, she just needed his silent support and she knew he wouldn’t question her, she quietly made her way into their apartment and to their shared room. He was there minding his own business, most likely reading a paper but she didn’t care to look, all she did was collapse onto the bed and crawl up to his side and rested her head under his arm.

       She felt the surprisingly light touch of his hand carding through her messed up hair, his fingers catching knots and quickly brushing them out. It was a very domestic move for them, but Natasha enjoyed it and soon enough she let out a silent sob to which he pulled her in tighter. All she wanted to do was to forget that mission, and she was well on her way.
