The geriatric ward meme: 2, 6, 11, 17, 19 ;)
2. When did you first connect to other people via computers? 1990, when I got an account on the cluster at college and got onto USENET for the first time.
6. When did you get your first cell phone? What was it like? (Did it have a screen? Could you text? Was it a brick or flip?) I got my first phone in 1997. It was an Ericsson flip phone (Ericsson was one of the corporations with product placements in the movie, and they sent a free phone with 30 minutes of free prepaid usage on it to everyone on their media list. Since I was working for a telecom publisher at the time, I got a free phone).
11. How many places (towns, states, countries) have you lived in? Two countries (Israel and US), one state (Israel), one commonwealth (Massachusetts), two cities (Boston, Jerusalem), two towns (Burlington, MA; Brookline, MA), one moshav (the name of which I’ve forgotten), and one kibbutz (Ma’ale GIlboa).
17. What’s the oldest article of clothing you still wear? I have a skirt and a matching scarf that I bought in the second semester of my junior year of high school (1988). I still wear it semi-regularly.
19. Are the privileges of adulthood worth the responsibilities? I’d say yes. Though there are times I wish the responsibilities were better explained before I became an adult so that I knew better what to expect.
