This comic was always planned where the police inspector's house maid found Nessie in the backyard and that she'd turn up missing the next morning. Keeping with the Jack the Ripper story line, I thought lil Nessie would kill her, but it was suggested by Mary Lacey why not have the maid a different way... I won't tell you how, but the last panel could be a clue.
