1. Favourite drink (alcoholic or non)?
I'm a hot chocolate person at heart! I imagine I always will be.
2. Favourite instrument?
I couldn't tell you! I've never really thought about it. If an instrument is played well, I have it in me to like it?
3. Recent dream?
Dreams don't stick with me too often, but there was one last week I remembered, though the details are few and far between (I should have written it down when I woke up). I was being followed around a lot by someone, and wound up having a small anxiety attack over the thought of being late for an event towards the end. Honestly, I've had better dreams in my time!
4. Recent nightmare?
If I've had one, I never remembered it upon waking up.
5. Thoughts on tattoos? If you have them, what do you have? If you want them, what do you want?
They're great! I never had negative opinions about body modification growing up, in part because the Mother Unit and her crowd have always supported them (the Mother Unit's full of metal and has quite a bit of ink on her, and she's planning more). I'm even lucky enough to have a friend who now has my handwriting tattooed onto her! I've always liked the idea of having few, but my capacity for trust is abysmal. I don't trust anyone enough to let them permanently leave a mark on me.
6. Cherished childhood memory?
I was in primary school at the time, and we had invited two of my friends--a pair of brothers--over for dinner one evening after school. Mother Unit was sitting in the kitchen chatting to us, and it was all going very nicely until the younger brother threw a handful of ice cream at me (and that, dear readers, is precisely why Mother Unit did not leave the kitchen unattended). Things escalated. I threw some back at him, then his brother got roped in. And somewhere along the line the Mother Unit figured that if you couldn't beat 'em, you may as well join 'em.
By the time their dad came back to collect them our kitchen looked like a bomb site, and the Mother Unit had received many brownie points for being a willing food fight participant.
7. Field of work you’ve always imagined going into?
I went through education with the hope of doing something creative/artsy, only to completely screw it up at the last hurdle and render myself pretty much worthless. There are other things I kind of like the idea of doing, but those options are locked to me currently in the same way most things are. Despite my current issues, I still like making things, so I'd still like to do something along those lines when I have more confidence in myself.
8. A recent good deed you’ve done?
My grandmother's been having what sounds like anxiety attacks after the big fall she had last year. I was thinking of looking around for some tips and other things I could put together and send to her to try and give her a hand managing them. I wanted to get her some nice yarn for knitting purposes too, but that's not really an option right now.
9. Do you like pudding?
Is the Pope catholic? Sticky toffee pudding and rice pudding are great things!
10. Do you prefer series of books or standalones?
I can appreciate both! It's all about execution and what you want when you first pick a book up. A short trip is no good when you're thirsting for a long haul flight. My favourite types of series are the kind where all books are set in the same world, and you follow different characters through it, or the kind where a good chunk of time has passed since the last book, enough that you can see how things in the world have changed, or how people have moved on.
11. What are you watching/playing/reading right now?
Watching: Nothing. I am the worst at watching things (if Let's Plays don't count).
Reading: The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson.
Playing: Trine and Fire Emblem: Awakening. No doubt I'll squeeze some Guild Wars 2 in there as well before Lords of Shadow 2 comes out!
