I watched SnK mostly to make fun of it and to see if Levihan was a Good Ship™ and somehow I got sucked in... Oops. No regrets. legs and/or hands? :0

[legs]: His legs are fairly average—maybe a little thin, as he focuses more on having a stronger upper body (for deep cuts). His knees are rounded and probably kind of dry sometimes. He walks like an egyptian with really good posture and with purpose—cocky, I guess you could say.

[hands]: He has average-sized hands and long fingers; they’re kind of aristocratic, really. His palms aren’t especially wide, and his hands can get sweaty but are usually dry unless he’s nervous or afraid; his skin is rough where it’s expected to be rough—from using the 3DMG—and his nails are always trimmed evenly. He doesn’t pick at hangnails or chew them (the habit was swatted out of him when he was young).

Face and/or eyes?

[Face]: Gelgar is often depicted in art is being thinfaced, but he actually has a kind of long face—cheekbones that are average, a jaw that isn’t overly defined… His ears are almost too small, and he has a connected earlobe. His nose is a little short and so is his forehead. He has great eyebrows though. Genetic luck.

[Eyes]: He has grey eyes that are a bigger than expected and kind of hooded (partially from age & stress). He already has some lines at the corners of his eyes. His eyelashes are medium length and a darker blond/brown.

hair, mouth, build

[hair]: Gelgar’s hair is ash-blond (or cream-soda blond) and when left down, it’s rather long in the front; it gets into his eyes. He usually styles it back in a pompadour to a.) keep it out of his way, and b.) maintain a professional appearance (because he doesn’t care to look like a slob). His hair is really thick, but manageable; it grows pretty fast and he tries to get friends or squadmates to cut it for him when it needs to be cut; they can all do a better job than he can. Being blond, his body hair isn’t as noticeable as it otherwise might be; he’s kind of middle of the road, though: some chest hair, but most of his body hair concentrates on his legs/arms, and even then, it’s not an extraordinary amount. He shaves his face regularly. If he had lived to middle age his hair would have greyed evenly.

[mouth]: His resting face is neutral or neutral-happy of some kind. He’s always smiling, often showing his teeth. One of his canines is chipped from a collision during an expedition with another soldier (the handle of their sword hit him right in the mouth), but he really doesn’t care because it doesn’t hurt. His mouth shape is nothing especially interesting; his lower lip is larger: in this chart, he’d be the bottom of the second column from the left. As a slight aside, his one true talent is kissing.

[build]: He’s probably about average height considering everyone seems to be pretty tall (5′10′’). He’s fit, but it’s more lean muscle instead of bulk. In an AU he’d have a little extra weight on him because he likes good food. (Keep Rene and her baking away from him.) He’s fairly proportionate in the length of his legs vs. torso.

✍ A secret.

The first public RP I ever participated in was a Dressing Room RP on LiveJournal. I RP’d a lot of characters and once RP’d with myself which was weird but hilarious because the entire community was invested in that RP.

The first private RP I ever did was with a friend from the Tales of Symphonia fandom; together through email our first and only RP made it to 243,000 words (~500 pages).

☠ Unpopular opinion.

As a general rule I hate container themes because I have a huge monitor (dual monitors actually), and it’s creepy to have everything contained in a tiny space when THERE IS SO MUCH SPACE ON MY SCREEN. (They look MUCH better on my tiny laptop but I only use that laptop for writing fanfic/origfic.) 

I also hate autoplay but mostly because I can’t concentrate with music on.

✈ Pet Peeves.

People who refuse to RP with people who don’t match RP style. Are you really going to miss out on some bomb writing with someone just because they won’t crop a thousand icons and waste time uploading them and formatting their post for tiny text and indents?

Don’t get me wrong. If you enjoy doing that stuff, more power to you. It does look pretty neat, I’ll give you that. I enjoy seeing that kind of stylized stuff on my dash.

BUT IT DOESN’T MAKE THE ACTUAL WRITING BETTER. IT IS NOT THE MARK OF A GREAT RPER/WRITER. 

That it gets treated as if it is bothers me.

IS MY STACK NOT HIGH ENOUGH ALREADY? For SnK I have seven different blogs for maximum RPing potential. (I have a Dita Ness, Gelgar, Hange, Mike, Nanaba, Petra, and Levi.) (Hint hint if anyone wants to RP with my other bloggos let ME KNOW.)

I also have two Legend of Korra blogs (Zhu Li & Lin Beifong).

In my defense I mostly use this account and my Nanaba (and I’d like to use Nanaba more often). 

DO YOU SEE A PATTERN HERE? (Older/adult characters.)

I tried to decide if there were other SnK characters I’d like to RP, and it was hard to think of anyone because while I like the main 104th, they have a ton of blogs dedicated to them already and their RPers are pretty good. I did briefly consider Rico and Anka because I do like those characters, but I don’t have much of an urge to RP more characters that are not really fleshed out within the canon. While RPing Pixis and/or Hannes would be hilarious (AND/OR SAD), I’m not sure I could justify making blogs for that. (Who the heckies would I RP with anyway?) There are a few good Erwins out there so I feel no desire to RP Erwin, and Nile is kinda like Pixis/Hannes/Rico/Anka: because of his position in the military it’s kinda hard to create interaction that makes sense.

BUT THEN IT HIT ME.

SOMEONE I WOULD REALLY NOT MIND RPING. And they’re part of the 104th. Just. Not the main 104th. Please end me right now because I would probably pick up Hitch or Marlo in five seconds flat. LIKE YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND MY LOVE FOR THOSE TWO.
