2: What scene did you first put down?

If I’m remembering correctly, it was actually the very beginning and the very end of Furihata’s letter. 

14: Is there anything you wanted readers to learn from reading this fic?

I guess that enforced societal norms are bullshit, but also that identifying or conforming to those norms as a matter of personal choice and expression isn’t a bad thing either. 

15: What did you learn from writing this fic?

That while you can’t always choose who you love, there are some times where you can, and making that choice can be both difficult and immensely rewarding.

4: What's your favorite line of dialogue?

Hmmmmm it might be: “One of my authors has writer’s block,” he said levelly.

Just because I can picture the look of absolute disgust in his eyes to pair with his false calm. 

7: Where did the title come from?

I remember thinking “I want to use a fun word in this title to pair with erotic” and then I remembered ‘quixotic.’ I was like, “Oh shit that rhymes!” A quick google search to make sure I was remembering the definition correctly, and voila!

11: What do you like best about this fic?

I think I just liked the fun and quirky tone of it. Quixotic Erotic was always meant to be playful, and I also wanted to fiddle with the idea of a largely physical relationship turning into a romantic one that wasn’t driven by angst (though those fics can be terribly fun and oh so painful).

Astral:

1: sexuality headcanon: Asexual (And possibly grey-aro/demiromantic for romantic orientation, maybe? Somewhere on the aro spectrum - he’s in love with Yuma but I don’t think romantic attraction is typically something Astral experiences.)2: otp: KEYSHIPPING, 1000% key definitely3: brotp: Possibly key again? Although idk, I do love his interactions with Shark, Kotori and Kaito too4: notp: With black mist... Not putting in the ship name since the stupid search system’ll just pick it up and dump it in the search tag for the ship ._.5: first headcanon that pops into my head: Because he floats all the time, he NEVER bothers with walking and as a result, he’s terrible at it. If he’s ever in a situation where he has to walk (which doesnt seem that likely), he’d struggle to keep balance and would probably trip or fall over within seconds.6: favorite line from this character: Oh shit, idk, it’s hard to think of any from the top of my head... may skip this because im stuck lmao7: one way in which I relate to this character: In a non-literal sense, probably in the way that he’s invisible to most people, and only has a small handful of friends? I can struggle to talk to people sometimes, and tend to stick with smaller groups, then when I do try socialising a bit more I don’t really feel as if I’m being listened to or that people care at all? Does that count?8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: Honestly the second-hand embarrassment is typically more for Yuma, but lmao, he was so stubborn in earlier seasons9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? He’s more cinnamon roll than problematic, sorry I don’t make the rules

Rio:

1: sexuality headcanon: Maybe bi or pan? Idkkkkkkk2: otp: Snowbirdshipping~3: brotp: Maybe her and Shark, I mean, they’re literal siblings, and they have good interactions. Maybe also her and Durbe, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t also ship holyice romantically to a degree.4: notp: I don’t think I really have any???? Although incest ships are a big noooooooooooope5: first headcanon that pops into my head: Iris didn’t actually look that much like Merag, but she acted like Merag did when she and Nasch were kids. Because Iris reminded him of his sister so much, she was shown to resemble him, despite it being more of a personality thing, really. (Does this even count as a Rio headcanon omfg)6: favorite line from this character: Again, I’m terrible at quoting things so umm yeah7: one way in which I relate to this character: I really don’t like it when people assume that I’m dating someone lmao, and it gets me really annoyed when people even joke that I’m going out with any of my friends (ESPECIALLY when people think that girls and boys cant be friends without it becoming romantic like... wtf??!! gross way of thinking ._.)8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: Not really to Rio as a character, just the way she’s written, but when she seems to coincidentally only duel girls when it’s a duel meant to show her as a powerful duellist, then every time she duels a guy she loses ._. ilu zexal, but you have some serious problems with how you treat your female characters, Rio’s a fucking badass, and she deserves the show to acknowledge that more and not use her for man-angst.9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? Maybe leaning more towards cinnamon roll, idk, but a mix ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’ll do these with human!Astral, since there’s a lot that don’t make sense otherwise

1. Who cooks? Neither are particularly good at it, but Astral is better, since he tends to stick to recipes more. A lot of the time, they’ll try to figure it out together.

3. Who fixes the vehicle after a breakdown? Astral is surprisingly good at it. Yuma, however, will try his hardest, but the results aren't always the best.

6. Going out to eat: Who pays? Who orders the most food? And who has dessert? They split payment, or take turns paying. Typically, Yuma will eat more and Astral will scoff at how much he’s eating (Unless this is a case of Astral recently gaining a human form, in which he will eat as much as he can in his eagerness. Not even Yuma’s able to manage that much.) Both get dessert, if they can manage it.

10. Any pets? Or plants? Probably some fish, since they’re less hectic. Astral likes to watch them.

11. Baths or showers? Together or separate? Any bubbles or bubble fights? If they’re in a rush for whatever reason, showers, separately. Sometimes they’ll have bubble baths together. Bubble fights would be likely tbh

15. Vacation ideas: who decides them? Where would they go, if anywhere? They enjoy going on trips around the world. Yuma likes to visit places his parents have explored before, or see places for himself so he has new stories to tell. He definitely gets his love of exploring from his parents. Astral loves to help find more places for them to go, and does the occasional research to find interesting places to see.
