This colorful and delicious funfetti sugar cookie cake will add a splash of patriotic flair to your dessert table. Perfect for the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, or any other red, white, and blue celebration!
Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 large egg. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract. 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup red and blue sprinkles. 1/2 cup white chocolate chips. Red and blue food coloring.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and grease a 9-inch round cake pan. Put the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl and mix them together until they are light and fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until everything is well mixed. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until you get a soft cookie dough. Split the dough into three equal pieces. One part should stay plain. In other parts, mix red food coloring with blue food coloring until you get the colors you want. Carefully mix the red and blue sprinkles into the different colored dough pieces. Make an even layer of plain cookie dough in the bottom of the greased cake pan. Place the red and blue dough pieces on top of the plain dough and gently press them down to make a smooth, colorful surface. Spread the white chocolate chips out evenly on top of the layers of dough. After the oven is hot, bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Take the cake out of the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes in the pan. Move the cookie cake carefully to a wire rack to cool all the way down. The American flag funfetti sugar cookie cake can be sliced and served after it has cooled. Enjoy this tasty treat as you celebrate your country's birthday!
