Memoria casuale di quando la me ventenne stava uscendo con questo bergamasco con le palesi e ingombranti ansie sociali e nella piazza di Romano di Lombardia ho scoperto che il giornale bergamasco, invece di un nome dignitoso come “il giornale di bergamo”, si chiamava L’ECO DI BERGAMO e io ho pensato a L’ECO DEL RODITORE e sono scoppiata a ridere in modo sguaiato fino quasi a piangere causando la curiosità e il disappunto dei passanti e provocando dunque una piccola morte del suddetto ragazzo.

When I was 18, I lost my dad. I was some lost punk kid hanging out at gas stations, trying to find myself. My best friend was a girl in California that I called Bean. I feared intimacy with boys. I smoked camels and drank whiskey. I was not afraid to die young. I ran away a year later but this song brings me back to the summer I sat with Bean when she came to visit. We listened to this song. I am not friends with this girl anymore but I hold this memory close to my heart. I always will.
