I just logged on briefly but posting this- i'm super confused right now but signal boost so this doesn't spin out of control or anything.

Sorry  i jumped to conclusions, it just seemed like too massive a coincidence so I believed soren....but I don't blame them either and I know they had good intentions, that's my fault.

Original or Brotherhood? Why? OH MAN uhm. I'm really tempted to say Original tbh. I haven't watched it in a long while, so i'd have to watch it again to give a really informed answer...but a lot of things about Brotherhood have been really irritating me lately? (namely like..the ending oops) Idk...03 has a special place in my heart (plus CoS cause hey who doesn't like all that heartbreak)

All time favorite character? Why? *crumbles on floor* there is no way to choose between Roy and Ed. 

Least favorite character? Why? This is quite difficult...Bradley (for some inexplicable reason) REALLY pisses me off in Brohood like every time he comes on I'm like "I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY GO AWAY NO ONE CARES" Soooo yeah but I don't think I have a character that I hate more than any of the others? I find Winry irritating sometimes, but tbh I find Ed irritating sometimes too so yeah

Chose one OTP and explain why you ship it. OH MAN hahahah it would take me like 5000 years to really explain all the wonderfulness that if RoyEd. In brief: they're fundamentally good for each other, I believe they bring out the best in each other, they are complimentary (despite almost the entirety of their interaction). They care about each other. There's more but. it's 4am. brain tired

Favorite homunculus? Why? I have a soft spot for Lust in both 03 and Brohood. Envy has grown on me (i can barely remember 03!Envy so yeah), but tbh I think it has to be Greed, both 1.0 and 2.0

What was the biggest thing you took from the series (most important moral)? looking at this question at first i was like "oh shit this is hard what do i say" but tbh, it's easy as shit because something that strikes home for me is how Ed and Al never ever give up and they keep going through every horrible experience. I think about Ed as a person a lot, and it has genuinely helped me get up in the morning sometimes because I think about 1) what he would do and/or 2) what he would say to me

I mean, I really like Aldnoah Zero, as well, but that gets by mostly on the strength of its plot and really clever writing; the characters so far are kinda bland.

BUT THE CHARACTERS IN NOZUKI-KUN ARE SUCH A DELIGHT

You were absolutely right that it's along the same lines as Kaibutsu-kun, because it's like somebody decided to make an anime starring all the really interesting side characters.

Also, has anyone else noticed TVT kind of tends to go for a false equivalency with a lot of sexism tropes, too? Like how they treat (or at least, used to treat) Straw Feminist and Straw Misogynist as opposite sides of same coin. I remember I once tried to call that out and some dude (had something about the planet Mercury in his username) went on a lecture to me about the "limits of feminism" and said I was brainwashed by women's studies and Tumblr to believe in it. It was amazing.

I won’t go into a big feminist rant right now so I’ll make it short: straw feminist and straw misogyny are not on the same coin because I don’t think there’s anyone in power who could be considered a straw feminist, yet there’s a whole lot of people in power who are most certainly misogynistic. An angry Valerie Solanas-style feminist who rants on a blog is not the same as a man in Congress actively trying to suppress women’s votes, but apparently that’s a little hard to comprehend.
