memory being blocked by supernatural forces / supernatural whumper invading a whumpee's dreams: whumpee is plagued by nightmares of a time they can't remember, of terrible things happening that people will tell them never occurred. They see visions of what was done to them but when they awaken, they can't remember any of it and all they are left with is a feeling of unease and a sense that something is missing...

That sense of unease makes for such nice tension. 👌
