The clock shows 00:43 and my boyfriend brings me a hot cup of my favourite green tea latte to our “homeoffice”. Feeling blessed.
Spent half the day, or better: 10h to 16h and then 17h-18:30h on sorting out the subtenant issue, as one neighbour upstairs had a water leak that came through the walls. While sorting out the paperwork for the thesis paper. This is my life.
Oh yeah. Forgot to mention the good news: the period of my PhD-project shall be extended for another (last) year. We still have to figure out bureaucracy stuff while the PhD committee is on leave during this time between terms. Bad news: it has to be done, fully done, handed in and defended during the disputation.
Work: So now, still sitting at the desk and trying to work through the new book that arrived yesterday. Writing was so easy when I started the PhD thesis, and nowadays even reading seems to be a struggle for me.
Trying not to panic when thinking of the deadline and the work that is still left. Have to figure out how to meet the deadlines for article publications, some profs are already waiting.
Fun fact: The hot cup of tea helps. Tea always helps. University was all about canned coffee, grad school about take out coffee, and PhD life is based on green tea and green tea latte.
