Years after the attempt with Valak, Magnus finds his home overrun with a group of young Shadowhunters in need of summoning another Memory Demon. It brings a few things to light for the newest generation - not least of which is one of the biggest open secrets in the Clave.

No real warnings, just some mild sexual situations, mentions of grief and loss (though this is not a focus. If you want a Malec fic that does look at these themes more, I have an app for that), Malec being protective of each other and also quite Done. Also Magnus spends more time thirsting after his husband than was really intended but these things happen.

“Hmm,” Magnus puts in, even though no one asked him. “Are they vital, these missing memories? Merely suggesting that memories are removed for many reasons and barring the fate of the entire Downworld resting on their safe retrieval - if you happened to know where a lost Shadowhunter relic might have been hidden away in order to stop a psychopathic maniac from starting a war, for instance - sometimes things are better not tampered with.”
“You’ve done this before then,” the girl says. “Summoned a Memory Demon?”
“Indeed,” Magnus says.
