[EN] A few years ago, I discovered the existence of a Huntik Memory Game on eBay (I even wrote an article about it - in French oc!). And tonight, thanks to a seller on Vinted, I discovered where these cards came from: Italians could find them in chip bags produced by San Carlo, a brand that has collaborated with Rainbow for several years to promote their series (Winx Club, Regal Academy, 44 Cats, etc.). I already knew that San Carlo had released chip bags for Huntik, but until now I had no idea what the gifts inside were⊠And currently, I still don't know what the packaging looked like! đ
About year or two ago, I made cards for memory game.
Holographic paper, watercolor paper, alcohol markers, and stamps.

A drabble for day 6: Pastimes
âOh, that is a great card. Good job! Can you find the other one?â Rhys said in a soft voice. He and Nyx had taken to playing memory lately and the one year old was quite good at it.
Nyxâs chubby hand reached out, sloppily pointing to a card on the other side of the deck. âSame.â
âThat one?â Rhys reached out, pointing to the card. âWhy donât you turn it over so we can see?â
Nyx shook his head and looked at him with pleading big blue eyes so similar to his.
âYou donât want to play anymore?â Rhys asked, confusion lacing his voice. He was generally very good at understanding his toddlerâs version of the common language, but there were often times when he wondered what he wanted. When Nyx had been a baby, Rhys hadnât been above taking a look at his mind whenever he cried inconsolably, just so they could at least know how to help him. But as he had grown older, Rhys had avoided taking a look as to preserve the childâs privacy.
Nyx shook his head again. âPapa, Nyx.â
Understanding dawned on Rhys. âYou want us to turn the figure together?â
Nyx nodded, smiling. âTogefer.â
Moments like these were his favoriteâmoments of not doing anything significant and everything that mattered at the same time. Spending time with his son, making him feel all the overwhelming love he had for his little boy, making sure he knew he was loved and treasured every second of every day.
âPapa?â Nyx looked up at him questioningly.
Rhys realized with a start that he hadnât moved to turn the card, his sonâs big blue eyes peering up at him questioningly. At over five hundred years old, Rhys could proudly say he had accomplished many things, but being this little boyâs father would always be the greatest one. His heart grew ten times its size in the presence of Nyx, and Rhys smiled as he bent down and kissed the top of his head. âTogether. Always.â
I always liked these memory games. Got an easy layout today.
