I just read Ink Your Name by prettyvk and it is soooo good. Amnesia Sherlock and John moved back to 221B to help him, and they still fall in love. So I was wondering if you know any other amnesia type fics that don't end with the person getting their memories back, or are cured somehow. In this one, that's what I was expecting but Sherlock never gets cured from his type of amnesia. I really liked that it was a happy ending but not everything was 'fixed'. I like fics that leave some questions at the end. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Anyway, anything like that to recommend? I'd appreciate it especially since me and the search have issues and I know I'm missing out on good fics because of it. I'd love you so much for pointing me in the right direction ❤️.

First of all, the fic you suggested:

Ink Your Name 'verse Series by prettyvk (E, 65,353 w. across 10 stories || Post-TRF, Amnesia, Angst, Fluff, Weddings, Twisted and Fluffy Feelings) – The metaphor is imperfect but still workable. If my long term memory is a hard drive, then my short term memory is RAM. The hard drive became read-only following the illness. New data is stored in RAM and can be used while I remain awake. Going to sleep – ‘turning off’ – wipes the RAM, returning the system to what it was prior to the illness.

Secondly... you know, this is a good question?? The only Amnesia fics that I have read have always had the memory returning by the end of the fic, and I haven't read the Ink Your Name series to be able to confidently recommend you something super similar.

So that leaves me to throw the bone out to the Gang and hopefully someone can suggest a fic that will appease you and be something that I can also check out!!

Thank you so much! Ah, not as much rest as I would LIKE but honestly I've had more time off the past few months than I normally do, so that's a "me" issue, hahah. I'm always tired and I always think that I have to DO something on a day off or it's not productive, so, yeah, a Me Issue™.

Oh gosh... you know, the only one I can think of is this "John's Missing Wednesday" trope fic:

Unspoken by PipMer (T, 2,770 w. || Drugged John, Mutual Pining, John’s Missing Wednesday, Fluff & Angst, Canon Compliant, Gap Filler) – Sherlock wanted to test a hypothesis. About John. He wanted a question answered that he couldn’t just ask, at least not under normal conditions, because John would never tell him the truth about that.

Do you know of any fics that feature amnesia? John gets amnesia, or Sherlock gets amnesia, yada yada — like that? I've read some already, and in fact, the very first Sherlock fic I read was Sherlock getting amnesia and thinking John was his husband.

I've been wanting a fic where Sherlock gets amnesia and John takes care of him, and it's great if it takes place post-S4. Are there any like that? 😁

theres a fic a read a while back where john and sherlock take a type of medication that makes them have memory loss of them having sex, just to see if the sex was good they recorded it and left to note for future them and john gets incredibly turned on watching it because sherlock looks eerily similar to a sculpture he liked? that was a horrible description but i hope its clear enough
