I don't have the time or spoons to devote to pulling out quotes and sources from this but seriously, if you still doubt us because you don't think memory works that way, just read this. You'll see that having an episodic memory from somewhere between age 4 and 5 that contains information about one's developing personalities is not unusual. Especially given that we are female and were linguistically precocious and frequently prompted to sit for long periods of time and recall and sift through memories, all factors that contribute to earlier detailed memory recall.
Plus the whole "We don't think primarily in words and our memories aren't primarily encoded in words either" thing, which helps when recalling early memories.
