(Out of curiosity, what would Falkner do if he saw an Emolga, whether wild or belonging to a challenger? I ask because it's Electric/Flying, and knowing already about some of his unpleasant experiences with other electric types, what would he think of one that could fly right up there with his birds?)

The flying typing does not change his opinion at all; it’s still an electric type, and therefore it still bothers him. If anything it makes it worse, because as you said it means it has access to the sky, making it an even bigger threat to his Pokémon. He dreads the day someone comes into the Gym with one.

Zapdos gets the okay because it’s still a bird, but Emogla and other electric/flying types…Not so much.

Oh, he has a love life now? That’s quite the development; I’m interested in that!

As for why…Well, Falkner’s always been one to keep his inner thoughts a secret, and never paid much attention to other people when he was little. He worried his mother sick doing that. So I imagine it’s something of a look into that psyche of his, you know? It does get maddening to not know what that boy’s thinking.

So it’s probably that or for the sake of watching him get flustered-he’s never been good at hiding his embarrassment!

Ok, she had not expected that from her fellow Angel. She didn’t exactly fight it, but she didn’t kiss back, either. When their lips broke, she was staring at Shauna with wide eyes.

We all know how Falkner feels about Electric types, but what about Rock or Ice types?

He dislikes Rock types, but not to the same extent that he does Electric types. Partially because Rock types, in his experience, are less likely to miss and accidentally hit him.

As for Ice types, Falkner actually admires them, and would probably train them if he didn’t train flying types. It might have something to do with their elegance…that or that his favorite legendary bird also happens to be and Ice Type. Also if a trainer brings an ice-type Pokémon to face him he’s very impressed.

Sitting outside a cafe, she cupped her tea. The sun on her back felt nice, better than the cold that she knew should be coming. She took a sip, sighing quietly.

It was a slow day.

She supposed she could be seeing one of her siblings at his new dojo but hearing that it was the newest "dance" craze in Lumiose City was ... confusing, to say the least, and she wasn't entirely sure just how to greet him. Making fun of the situation was the very first thing to come to mind, but that wouldn't be right. 

Her attention drifted when she'd felt something soft rub up against her leg. Taking every bit of control to keep herself grounded, she looked down and saw just who the culprit was. It was a delcatty.

"You're awfully friendly," she commented, reaching down to scratch the feline's chin.
