My annual random reappearance this time with more Memory Malfunction Au!
Graecie wandering the clearing alone realizing her dad really sold her, Oeca is in his normal persona and while he doesn't remember killing anyone or being arrested he'd watched the star shows before and is super excited to be on TV. Squidney volunteered to join the project and is so confused to wake up with her memories in tact since they told her they'd be wiped. They're all chatting when Mohwee comes up just as dirty as before he comes out cursing and shouting. He's determined to leave still but a lot of his shouting and fury is to the trees since he's not sure where the cameras are.
All their chatting and talking is interrupted the sound of screaming, shouting, and punching as Owen and Rasbi wake up in the elevator. At some point during their attempts to kill each other with their bare hands they hit the lever and at the top are forcibly separated by the others. When Apo comes out if the elevator he's all for Rasbis demands that they all kill Owen but Graecie manages to reel everyone in for now since they need to establish some bases to survive.
Owen still says no one should go into the maze but now it's a way harder to block the gate since Mohwee, Oeca, Apo and Rasbi are always trying to sneak into the maze, some to escape, some to pass him off. Reddons arrival actually helps quite a bit actually. A business man at heart he's determined to make the most of his time on TV, and works to essentially turn himself into a marketable brand. He also encourages the violence of the others, blood sells after all.
Spidey is actually pretty upset when she arrives since she didn't even mean to kill the mayor so the punishment really doesn't feel like it fits the crime. Mohwee equally as furious to be here takes her and Oeca under his wings. With Gutz arrival Rasbi and Apo had hoped for more help with Mission Kill the General but they're still pretty torn about the whole murdering hundreds of people thing and ops to stay mostly neutral on it. They do try to have a few heart to heart conversations with Owen, mass murderer to mass murderer but they usually just end with a lot of shouting and stab wounds needing to be stitched up.
Clearing Two Is less peaceful with everyone remembering their past. Krow strutting around like it's a God and Bekyamon being even more self absorbed than in cannon, plus whatever crimes the others are guilty of. Still when clearing 1 finds the survivors Magic is less easily lead and instead very bitter about all she's been through. She's not interested in making friends but neither is anyone else so she fits in. Bekyamon does not fit in when she arrives but she's never one to back down from a challenge and takes on the role of impromptu leader. Something that annoys everyone into a second election just to make her stop.
Krow is a hundred percent on board with Mission Kill Owen but is honestly more a hindrance than a help because it wants to be the one to do it and that leads to quite a lot of infighting between the Demons. Soup on the other hand has been used for skills and knowledge for a long time and she's not even sure if her brother is alive so she's does not work for free. She's still the closest they have to a doctor though so if you need wounds stitched or any type of potion she charges in either materials or secrets between the others. Ayngel is just trying to survive and escape but the big sister syndrome takes over for her. She takes on the role of confidant for the clearing and the exhausting role of joining Graecie in being a mediator for the infighting.
Kyle and Acho fit well in this group of bitter angry strangers. Kyle is over protective of Acho and though he initially wants to stay away from the others he's quickly dragged into nonsense since being on their bad side is even more dangerous. Acho might be innocent but he's also a tad angry that no one cared to protect him while his father hurt him. Not to mention when someone did something in response they were thrown into a torture maze to die for public entertainment. So when trying to make friends he finds himself quickly causing chaos.
Obviously, because I'm a sucker for a happy ending, they find friendship despite all the anger and bitterness. After all inside the maze, the only thing you can rely on is the people beside you, human, demon, or angel. The tentative peace is definitely tested when they actually begin escaping the maze, though.
