Azure x Tang headcanons because I’m spreading the agenda🗣️ (probably occ)
To start off they’re gym buddies. I imagine that Azure would hear about the concept of gyms from one of the customers at Pigsy’s noodles. And of course he would immediately go to Tang asking what exactly it meant. One short explanation later Azure with a grin decided they will go there together. What was met with the most dreadful expression Tang could ever make. Yet no amount of convincing could stop Azure from dragging the other to the gym. In short Azure adores physical activities while Tang not so much.
Tang has multiple papers written for university about human history. Most of them around 80 000 words. And Azure read them all in one night just to have a common topic to talk about with Tang. (It was mentioned only once but definitely worth it from Azure’s perspective.)
Tang is a college professor and it just so happened that when Azure tried to get into a university one of his professors was Tang himself. It definitely was awkward for the both of them.
Both of them really enjoy crosswords puzzle. Whenever Tang solves one of them Azure appears behind him out of nowhere wanting to join. It’s a nice activity for them to bond. It also helps Azure learn more about the current state of the world. Even if he answers all the questions wrong.
Tang of course has a large collection of books about all kind of topics. After long persuasion from Azure he reluctantly allowed the lion to read some of the les valuable texts. To no one’s surprise Azure’s favorite genre would be political books that directly describe history events he had missed. Any time he finished a book he would go to Tang discussing it while his tail wagged.
Unfortunately Azure often missed hidden messages between the lines because of the lack of knowledge when it came to the author’s autobiography luckily Tang was always there to remind him and give the lion a different perspective. What was hard for Azure to grasp at first having seen things in black and white most of his life.
They both LOATHE water. As if swimming. In a pool? Heck no! On a beach? Too much sand that gets everywhere. Tang loves to simply relax and read a book under a parasol Azure content in keeping him company even if most of it is spend in silence.
If you asked Tang what his favorite part of Azure is he would think about it for a while. At first not saying anything but then breaking and revealing that the lion’s mane is much more comfortable than it looks. The human loves running his hands over it or even taking a big nap while burying himself inside of it.
Azure’s answer would be immediate. He would say he loves everything about Tang and start listing out every single thing he appreciates about his companion. You would need to ask him several times to settle on one thing and it would probably end up being Tang’s hands. The feeling of the smaller palms against his mane or on his cheek made the lion smile warmly every time. There was nothing he liked to do more than taking the human’s hands and giving them gentle kisses.
Much to Tang’s demise physical training wasn’t the only thing Azure dragged him into. Azure convincing Tang for both of them to train their fighting abilities together. Of course the lion didn’t need Tang for this already having his own rigorous training routine. But a little motivation wouldn’t hurt Tang. Although Azure’s training program wasn’t useful at all. He’s way too soft on Tang enabling the human’s lazy nature and not pushing him to the limits. What greatly worsened Tang’s abilities. The scholar no longer putting that much effort while he’s not in a life-death situation. They’re still having a good time though.
