I'll Keep Your Memory Vague
An old friend of mine with whom I had lost basically all contact, and for good reasons at that, reached out to me recently via Facebook. It was nice to hear from them but as we exchanged small messages back and forth with updates on our current lives, I realized that no matter how badly people would like to believe that others change, and just because you stopped talking once doesn't mean it would work out eventually is just something we tell ourselves to deal with the loss we know we're facing by letting certain people go. It's a terrible feeling to know that you have to grow away from somebody, but for the most part there's good reason, and if you let yourself, you will eventually see that reason and be glad. I've come to the conclusion that we, as human beings, would rather suffer and mope about with everyone else then be the one person whose happy all alone. So, I've decided, on the advice of a friend, to wake up and say one positive thing every morning :) When one good thing comes to an end, find another. P.S. one of my sisters told me it Is scientifically proven that if you give 8 hugs a day you will be happier? Try it, you know I will :) Night lovers!
