↳ memphis abigail rowe // red panda spirit animal mood board
so after many months && nearly 10000 words later, i think that memphis’ bio is finally finished! this literally killed me to write but it was so much fun??? i honestly think this is the most i’ve ever written for one of my oc’s, so i hope you all enjoy it as much as i did writing it! <3
Memphis Abigail Rowe was born on February 22nd 2000 to Carmina Sanchez and Emiliano Vega in Panama City, the youngest of two children and little sister to Santana, six years her senior. She had a relatively normal upbringing, becoming particularly close to her brother as their parents were often away working at the local body repair shop, attempting to provide a stable income for their family. From the age of 12, Memphis learned how to take care of herself, mostly through Santana – he taught her basic skills to survive out on the streets, including hotwiring vehicles, handling firearms and self-defence. The neighbourhood they grew up in was by no means crime ridden, but he wanted his sister to be safe, wherever she was.
Shortly after her 21st birthday, her father was struck down by ill health, becoming bedridden and having to resign from his job, as well as her mother who had to care for him fulltime. With no income, the family struggled to make ends meet, until both Memphis and Santana managed to secure a position at a courier depot. Despite the long hours and gruelling shifts however, they were barely managing to scrape together enough money for food, let alone Emiliano’s healthcare. Amidst circulated rumours that their employer was money laundering and underpaying his staff, Santana went to confront him one day about the poor working conditions, but found himself staring down the barrel of a gun. A fight broke out between them, and only ceased when a single gunshot rang out – staring down in shock at his bloodied hands, Santana panicked and left the now lifeless body of his superior on the floor, blood trickling from the bullet wound underneath his chin.
Knowing that it wouldn’t be long before the authorities became involved, Santana rushed to warn his family, terrified of the repercussions that they could face. He proposed that they smuggle themselves onto a boat containing a weapons shipment bound for London, but Carmina refused, as Emiliano’s condition was deteriorating and he likely wouldn’t survive such a long and potentially dangerous trip. Santana stated that if he stayed, then he’d be putting them all in danger, and he couldn’t take that chance, so Memphis was faced with a dilemma – stay with her parents and risk losing her beloved brother as he made the trip alone, or repaying the many years that he’d kept her under his wing by going with him. Whilst the choice wasn’t easy by any means, she ended up choosing the latter, and so brother and sister would soon be travelling to a new life in London. Staying with one of Santana’s friends, Miguel, preparations were made and the day came when the boat would finally disembark, so Memphis decided to stop at the family home to bid her parents a final goodbye. What she didn’t expect was to find the modest building abandoned, with her parents having seemingly vanished from the face of the earth – neither her or Santana would ever see them again.
Adjusting to life in London was difficult at first, having to stay off the streets and out of harms way, because there was no question that they’d both be hauled off to the European Processing Centre if Albion became aware of their existence. With their options severely limited, both Memphis and Santana enlisted in a Bare Knuckle League to try and make some money, managing to climb their way through the ranks and catching Clan Kelley’s eye along the way. One night, they were approached by one of the gang and invited to join their ranks, an offer that they quickly accepted. With Clan Kelley’s resources, Memphis received her own optik device and a forged passport, stating that she was now a permanent resident of the United Kingdom residing in London. She also found work as a tattoo artist, whilst Santana became a Clan Kelley getaway driver. Over the next few years, she was trained in both physical combat and weapons handling, being particularly skilled at wielding firearms and becoming one of the most notable sharpshooters in all of Clan Kelley. Not the most glamorous lifestyle, but it provided them with food and shelter, and more importantly, kept them alive.
That is, until Clan Kelley struck a deal with Thomas Rempart, the CEO of Rempart Automated Defense Systems. From the very start, Memphis felt an instinctual dislike towards him, yet she couldn’t place her finger on why – so when he hosted a launch party celebrating the upcoming presentation of his latest prototype, the RADS MK-1, she saw it as an opportunity to do some digging for information in regards to his company and the products that he planned on revealing to the world. Unbeknownst to the majority of the clan and Memphis herself for the time being, Rempart needed test subjects for the development of the RADS MK-1, and in exchange for some of his robots to help strengthen Kelley territory, it was agreed that some members would be made expendable, namely those without family or those with little to offer to give to him as payment. And so naturally, the party was the perfect way to determine suitable candidates.
In attendance were numerous people, some of which Memphis would cross paths with again once the evening was concluded – namely, Richard Malik, the lover of her future best friend and the man who would go on to become SIRS Director after Emma Child’s death, and Peyton Santiago and her husband, Reginald Blechman, also known more commonly as Wrench. Unbeknownst to anyone, Wrench would play a significant role in influencing Memphis’ future, as they’d soon share a mutual hatred of Thomas Rempart, and the desire for him to face the consequences of his actions. The evening unfolded smoothly enough – that is, until a heated feud broke out between Richard and Peyton. Whilst being unable to determine exactly what it was about, Memphis could make out the words ‘Dedsec ’ and ‘ resistance ’ , and whatever the full details may have been, the soon to be SIRS director was clearly seething. Without even thinking, she pushed her way through the forming crowd to intervene and told Richard to leave Wrench’s wife alone, especially because she was clearly pregnant and didn’t need the unwanted stress. It may have been an act of kindness, but word quickly reached Rempart that one of Clan Kelley’s own was a Dedsec sympathizer – something that would soon come back to haunt her.
Whilst Memphis was unable to uncover anything significant at Rempart’s launch party, Santana discovered all about the scheme whilst out on a job after intercepting a Parcel Fox delivery a short time later, and with certain Clan Kelley members having gone missing under mysterious circumstances over the preceding few weeks, the both of them managed to piece together the exact nature of the deal. Making the decision to sabotage the entire operation, they managed to infiltrate the facility where the prototypes were stationed, and their efforts to destroy the hardware were a success - however, neither of them were prepared for the consequences.
Believing that they’d remained undetected, word soon got back to both Rempart and the Clan Kelley superiors that both Memphis and Santana were the ones responsible for jeopardizing their deal, and with the seed of doubt already present in Rempart’s mind after Memphis’ behaviour at his launch party, it was agreed that they were to be made an example of in case anyone else dared to stand against them. Under the pretence of a prototype demonstration, he visited Clan Kelley territory personally, boasting that his robots now had the ability to identify and terminate threats with the utmost accuracy. By some miracle, Memphis managed to escape the carnage, but not before receiving a bullet to the abdomen and watching her brother collapse in a pool of his own blood. Wrought with grief and sprinting for her life through the maze of Camden alleyways, she soon collapsed herself and faded in and out of consciousness, waiting to bleed out in the cold London night before joining her brother. Except, Santana was still alive, and he’d soon discover himself imprisoned in one of RADS’ most secure facilities.
When Memphis regained consciousness a few days later, she was in the back room of the Earl’s Fortune pub, having been saved by Connie Robinson. Over the next few months, as repayment for taking her in and whilst waiting for her wound to heal, she worked for Connie and ran odd jobs for her, once being assured that Clan Kelley rarely frequented the premises, if ever. Whilst Memphis’ injuries may have started to recover however, her mental state was still broken, completely devasted by the supposed loss of her beloved brother and swearing that she’d end Rempart once and for all in retaliation for taking Santana away.
One day whilst she was cleaning some glasses behind the bar, she overheard Connie mention the name Aiden Pearce – along with Thomas Rempart. Aiden was in a coma after going to rescue his nephew Jackson, and once he’d managed to gather medical supplies, one of his associates was going to confront Rempart, as he’d been fucked over by him too. That associate, was none other than Peyton’s husband, Wrench. With the anger and the desire to see Rempart fall still as strong as ever, Memphis managed to contact him and told him that she was a friend of Connie and his wife, alongside offering her assistance whilst he went after the CEO himself. She couldn’t risk venturing out onto the streets just yet so instead kept in contact with him via their optiks, providing classified information about Rempart and RADS that she managed to learn whilst she was still with Clan Kelley. But whilst Wrench may have managed to eventually infiltrate Rempart’s boat and defeat his latest prototype, something that Memphis could never have anticipated happened – rather than finishing their enemy once and for all, he instead turned him over to Albion, with Nigel Cass himself making the arrest. Following them would be far too dangerous, so she knew what she had to do.
Whilst Wrench, Aiden and Jackson were celebrating their victory, she armed herself with a pair of scissors and locked herself in Connie’s bathroom, staring at her reflection before getting to work. The woman that greeted her in the mirror when she’d finished was that of a stranger – neatly styled medium length hair, no piercings in sight and a fierce determination burning deep within her eyes. With one last thing left to do before she abandoned her life with Clan Kelley forever, she managed to hack into Albion’s criminal database and wipe her record clean, preparing to step out onto the streets of London alone. When Connie looked behind the bar the next morning, she’d find a letter addressed to her along with a bundle of money in an envelope, thanking her for her kindness and expressing hope that they’d cross paths again in the future. Leaving the safety of the Earl’s Fortune, Memphis was now completely on her own – no friends, no family, only the burning desire to avenge her brother.
Thanks to the skills once used in the name of Clan Kelley, she was quickly selected as one of Albion’s newest recruits, being recognized specifically for her expertise and accuracy when handling firearms. Taking on the position as an Albion contractor, she managed to familiarize herself with how the company operated, including patrol schedules, drone management, and most importantly, arrest procedures. However, whilst she may have had a trove of valuable information at her disposal, Memphis was yet to uncover any details in regards to Thomas Rempart – where he was being detained, how long for, even if he was still alive. So when Cass himself organized a formal reception at the White Tower for Albion’s newest recruits, she naturally accepted her invitation to attend. Whilst she may not have felt particularly comfortable in formal settings or around large crowds, that was surely the lead that would bring her one step closer to confronting Rempart.
Memphis spent the majority of the evening alone, her head down as she sipped her drink and tried not to attract any unwanted attention towards herself – however, someone noticed. A young woman, a lawyer by the name of Cecilia St James. Whilst everyone else was preoccupied with either how to get a promotion or consuming more alcohol, Cecilia approached Memphis and the two found that they got along wonderfully, despite the latter’s initial hesitancy in fear of anyone becoming suspicious. She was also introduced to Cecilia’s other half, being surprised to discover that it was the one and only Richard Malik, with this being the second time that they’d crossed paths, except this time, he was now the director of SIRS after Emma Child’s untimely death. For the first time since leaving Connie and the Earl’s Fortune, she no longer felt alone, gaining more confidence in herself – so much so, that she attempted to strike up a conversation with Nigel Cass himself once he made an appearance. Praising him on his recent arrest of RADS’ CEO and stating that she was impressed, she was hopeful that he’d be able to provide more information that she could use to her advantage. Whilst he didn’t disclose anything significant however, he expressed his own admiration for her performance during the recruitment process, namely her near perfect scores during target practice. Before Memphis knew it, she’d accepted his proposal to join him for weekly sessions on Albion’s firing range, more for the chance of receiving new information about Rempart than anything else.
And whilst that may have been her initial reason for participating, she’d soon find herself genuinely enjoying that time that her and Cass spent together, being fortunate enough to see a side of him that most didn’t even know existed. She deeply appreciated the fact that rather than just considering her as another one of his employees, he addressed her on a more personal level, treating her with respect and politeness. Over the next few months, the both of them continued to meet on a weekly basis, becoming closer with one another and often discussing their interests and hobbies outside of work. One particular day, Cass presented Memphis with a competition – whoever managed to hit the most targets could ask absolutely anything that they wished to know, with the other having to answer with complete honesty. Despite Memphis’ skills, Cass’ years of experience ultimately secured him the win, and whilst she’d be stunned by his question, it would provide the reason as to why she’d been experiencing such intense emotions around him – because she was in love with him. Keeping to her word and adhering to the rules of their friendly competition, Memphis happily confirmed that she’d love to go on a date with Albion’s CEO.
For the next few months, Memphis’ life was relatively stable, having people around her that she’d grown to genuinely care for and even managing to save enough money to rent a small apartment in Lambeth. Whenever their work schedules allowed it, she’d meet up with Cecilia for either a coffee date or shopping, soon being introduced to her young son, Imran Malik. Memphis immediately became attached to the little boy, offering to babysit whenever her best friend had work or other matters to attend to. Of course, the task of uncovering more information in regards to Rempart still stood, and fortunately, due to her recent promotion to the position of Elite Overwatch, she spent more a lot more time stationed at the White Tower, working on prototypes for the latest Albion weaponry to be used on the streets of London. Despite this however, she failed to uncover anything significant, her confidence being severely affected from the lack of progress but refusing to give up nonetheless.
Whilst out on her regular patrol route one day, she happened to stumble across an injured young man in a back alleyway, his knuckles bloodied && face littered with both scrapes && bruises. His name was Lorcan Boyle, a bare knuckle brawler, although he claimed that his injuries were the result of a Clan Kelley attack, seeing that she was with Albion. A decent enough lie, if he hadn’t have used it more than once. They’d cross paths numerous occasions whilst out on the streets of London, with Lorcan appearing worse for wear every time. Having her suspicions that the true nature of his wounds was something that he wished to keep to himself, Memphis did nothing to take him into custody, even after discovering his affiliations with the illegal activities of the Bare Knuckle League. The two became very good friends over time, often meeting in pubs to socialize over a drink, and Memphis even taking him to St. Thomas’ Hospital in her patrol car after a particularly nasty round in the ring.
Whilst she was deeply in love with Nigel Cass and looking forward to spending some time with him on their first date together, the reason why she’d sought to join Albion in the first place continued to loom over her head, and the secret that she was keeping from him was almost too much to bear. Attempting to suppress it in the back of her mind, she occupied herself with preparing for the evening ahead, and with Cecilia’s help, managed to find a suitable outfit for the occasion, marking one of the rare instances that she’d have actually worn a dress. Only a short distance away from the White Tower, Cass had reserved the entirety of the Walkie Talkie Club in honour of their date for the evening, and despite her nerves, Memphis found herself being able to overcome them – at least for a little while. What started out as a soft kiss with Albion’s CEO became much more intimate, and whilst she wanted nothing more for them to continue, Cass’ hand innocently brushed against the scar located on her abdomen, prompting all of the memories from her trauma only months ago to come flooding back to her. Overwhelmed and being no longer able to contain her emotions, Memphis broke down and revealed everything to him, from being a former member of Clan Kelley and Santana being gunned down in front of her, to wanting revenge against those responsible and how she believed that she could get classified information out of him before ultimately falling in love with him. To her surprise, he wasn’t at all angry, instead taking her into his arms and promising that he’d do everything in his power to help her find peace. The two of them spent the night together, and for the first time in months, Memphis felt as if there was a weight off her shoulders, finally being able to look forward to a promising future.
Over the next few days, with some gentle encouragement from Cass, she once again opened up to him and revealed that it was none other than Thomas Rempart who was responsible for the attack a few months prior, the same monster that Cass had taken into custody personally. Being Albion’s CEO, he was able to pinpoint his location almost immediately – to a secure Albion facility located directly underneath the Battersea in Nine Elms. Memphis was only hours away from confronting the man who’d sent her life spiralling out of control, and avenging the brother who she’d practically idolized.
The minutes ticked down, and before she knew it, she was stood outside of the cell where Rempart was being detained, her heart racing and palms sweaty as Cass gave a reassuring squeeze to her shoulder. She didn’t have to face this alone – he was there at her side. Even though half of his face was horribly disfigured as a result of Wrench’s handiwork, there was no mistaking the self-conceited look in his eyes, the same look that had haunted her mere seconds before the hail of bullets had rained down. Being surprisingly calm, she told RADS’ CEO that he was nothing more than a monster and that she was going to make it right, so that he’d never be able to hurt anyone ever again as he’d done to her by taking away Santana. In response, clearly concerned for his life, Rempart revealed something to Memphis that she believed was a blatant lie to save his own skin – that albeit in a weakened state, Santana was still alive, incarcerated at one of RADS’ detainment facilities. At first, she dismissed the notion, having grieved his supposed passing for months and still being crippled by the pain. Becoming frustrated at her refusal to accept the truth and quickly running out of options, Rempart made the foolish decision of taunting her, stating that if his robot prototype was at peak performance, then he wouldn’t have had to have dealt with what he deemed ‘ her family drama ’ – because both her and Santana would have been dead within seconds.
Any chance of him leaving the room alive were now non-existent, as something deep down inside of Memphis completely snapped, and before she could even think, she was on top of him. Whether it was the adrenaline, or rather the pure unfiltered rage flooding through her, it was unclear, but either one or a combination of the two caused the first blow that rained down onto Rempart’s head with her baton to sound out with a loud crack. Amidst her furious screams of how she believed Santana was dead for months because of him and that she hoped that he burned in hell, the blows barrelling down on him continued with all of the strength that she could muster – it was a few minutes until she was completely drenched in blood, Rempart’s now unrecognizable and bloodied body lifeless beneath her. For the first time in months, as Nigel held her in his arms and promised her that everything was going to be okay, she was optimistic that it actually would be. Because there was a chance that Santana was out there, alive.
Over the next few weeks, Memphis worked tirelessly alongside Cass in an effort to gather any information in regards to her brother’s whereabouts, even though he insisted that she take sick leave because she was both physically and emotionally exhausted. Despite this, she did extra shifts, worked overtime and even took to patrolling the streets after hours in case there was anything that she’d missed. Lorcan and Cecilia even offered to help in the search, something which Memphis was extremely grateful for. After days, weeks of uncovering nothing, there was a lead – a RADS facility previously unknown to Albion was discovered near Westminster, primarily focused on using test subjects to bring Rempart’s dream of making the minds of humanity immortal one step closer. Almost immediately, a small group of Albion’s elite banded together in preparation for a raid, with Cass himself supplying the resources and firepower, whilst Memphis was advised to remain behind at the White Tower should the worst possible scenario come to light, despite her desperation to know the truth as to whether her brother was alive or not.
She waited for what seemed like an eternity, even if it was only an hour or two – Cecilia had kindly offered to be with her so that she didn’t have to endure the wait alone, although she spent most of the time pacing anxiously back and forth along the length of the room. With no word from the Albion squad, Memphis began to fear the worst, believing that perhaps Rempart had had the last laugh before she’d taken the liberty of ending his miserable life. Except as multiple sets of footsteps sounded closer towards the door, her heart practically stopped at the sight that greeted her. Santana. He was alive. Her big brother. Most of the heartfelt reunion was a total blur as the rush of unimaginable euphoria consumed her completely, sobbing against him until there were no tears left and clinging onto him as if she was frightened that he might disappear again if she dared to let go. All of the nights that she’d spent longing to see him one last time, and now here he was for good.
Due to the nature of his injuries and the poor conditions in which he was kept, Santana had to spend three weeks being cared for by Albion’s finest medics, and Memphis went to go and visit him every single day, even being allowed to finish work early on a number of occasions so that she could go to be with her brother. Once he was discharged, Cass granted his sister a month’s complimentary annual leave, giving them both more than enough time to begin getting his life back on track. Buying more spacious living accommodation in the Tower Hamlets borough of London, Memphis and Santana threw a housewarming party to celebrate a fresh start together, with Cecilia, Peyton, Lorcan, Wrench, Jackson and even Cass himself being in attendance. Their life in London was now everything that they’d ever dreamed of, having each other and being surrounded by their close circle of friends. Memphis’ job position as Elite Overwatch was bringing in a steady income for them to both live comfortably, and Santana was offered an internship with Albion to help maintain the Project Themis servers located at Tidis in Southwark. For a short while, both brother and sister were content with the lives that they’d shaped for themselves – at least until the rumours started.
With Dedsec rising up to resist against the iron grip of Albion over London, Memphis couldn’t ignore the hearsay that suggested that not only was the PMC complicit in the bombings that had killed hundreds a few months prior, but that Nigel Cass himself was the mastermind behind the attack, determined for Albion’s influence to take over London, and eventually the entirety of the United Kingdom. In her eyes, he was her everything, because without him, she’d have nothing. No brother, no strength to fight, no hope. But no matter how deeply in love she was with Albion’s CEO, the rumours continued to spread like wildfire, and the people of London rose up to defy any and all authority. Not wanting to believe the malicious accusations being made against him, Memphis continued to stand in the name of Albion – until a message sent to her optik from an anonymous source changed everything.
She forced herself to see the audio file through to the very end, tears blurring her vision as the man who she would have given her life for sat alongside the ominous figure of Zero Day, his words piercing her heart and confirming that the rumours were indeed true. ‘ The ideal targets are the TOAN Conference, Parliament, and King’s College Hospital. ’ Memphis didn’t want to believe it - that Nigel Cass, the man responsible for helping find her brother and being her light in the dark, had considered the interests of his company a higher priority than human life. But the evidence was clear – he had the blood of hundreds on his hands.
The usually carefree ambience between the two of them in his office was instead replaced by one of considerable unease, becoming even more prominent once she revealed the fact that she knew about his role in the bombings. Unsurprisingly, Cass initially attempted to deny everything, but once Memphis relayed his own words back to him via her optik, he knew that he could no longer conceal the truth. Her heart broken, she stated to him that once he was done lying to her, that he should stop lying to himself before placing her Albion ID card down onto his desk and leaving. Out into the cold London night alone.
Over the next week, she barely moved from the flat. Attempts to coax her outside fell on deaf ears, and she barely ate, with Santana having to encourage her to try eating the smallest portions of food. Messages and missed calls remained unanswered on her phone, with the vast majority being from Cass himself, but she didn’t have the heart to face him, to face anyone. Cutting herself off from the outside, Memphis’ world had once again fallen into darkness – except this time, there was no knight in shining armour coming to save her. One night whilst she asleep, she was unaware of the rising tensions outside on the street, the entirety of London finally realizing the truth behind the tragedy that had unfolded a few months prior. That is, until Bagley woke up her with a breaking news report. Dedsec, with the help of Hamish Bolaji, had finally managed to exonerate themselves, broadcasting the footage of Cass murdering the police commissioner in cold blood and exposing Albion’s role in the bombings to the public.
Her heart pounding in her ears, Memphis listened in horror as the GBB released a recent statement from Albion’s CEO, stating that he was refusing to step down from his position and that he would slaughter any who stood in his way. Unbeknownst to her, Cass was already in a fragile state after Dedsec’s interference with Project Themis, and losing her had finally been enough to push him over the edge, blinded by resentment and anger towards the world. This wasn’t the same man who she’d fallen in love with, who’d held her in his arms, who’d kissed away her tears and told her that everything was going to be alright – and so whilst she should have still been bitter and hurt, she wasn’t. If he was allowed to unleash his rage onto the streets, then hundreds more would die, including himself. Recalling the moment that she’d seen Santana collapse into a pool of his own blood, and remembering the desperate screams that had been ripped from her all those months ago, Memphis didn’t even bother changing out of her pyjamas, throwing on a jacket and some converse before rushing out the front door. Whilst being out to buy his sister a coffee and having seen the news, Santana rushed back to their flat as quickly as he could to inform her what had happened, but by the time he arrived, she was already on her way to Tower Hamlets. Because after experiencing the pain of losing a loved one once, she wasn’t about to endure it again.
The grounds surrounding the White Tower were a bloodbath, with Albion’s elite having been gunned down in an attempt to protect their superior, and that could only mean one thing – that Dedsec had gotten there first. With no regard for her own safety, Memphis raced down to the secret bunker where Cass was known to pore over the finer details of Project Themis and Albion’s other operations, praying that there was still a chance to save him from Dedsec, and perhaps more importantly, himself. So naturally, the sound of heavy metal crashing to the floor filled her with absolute dread, smoke beginning to seep into her lungs as the flames bursting forth from Cass’ military drone grew more violent with every second. With no hesitation whatsoever, Memphis vaulted over the guard rail and dropped down to the level below, but no sooner had she stood upright, a powerful explosion sent her hurtling backwards with a cry, the back of her head striking the wall and rendering her unconscious. In just a few short hours, Dedsec would be celebrating the death of Albion’s CEO, London finally free from his iron grip – except, Nigel Cass wasn’t dead, he didn’t even have a scratch on him. Because Nigel Cass was never at the White Tower in the first place.
After coming around from her injury, Memphis discovered that she was in a private Albion medical facility, and an all too familiar figure was seated at her bedside, sleeping peacefully as he gently held her hand in his own. A far cry away from the tyrant that had threatened to spill the blood of innocent Londoners. Attempting to sit herself upright, it wasn’t long before Albion’s CEO began to stir, that smile that she’d fallen in love with staring back at her as he opened his eyes. Rather than having her use her strength to bombard him with questions, Cass explained everything, and she couldn’t help but to notice the sincerity within his tone as he spoke. Whilst he was still alive, his father, Gareth Cass, believed in the rehabilitation of dangerous criminals, deeming that they could be modelled into law abiding citizens with both time and patience. A gentle man, Cass idolized his father and strove to become just like him, wanting to help shape London into a city of peace. One fateful day however, Gareth was murdered by the very same men who he believed could redeem themselves, and being powerless to stop them, Cass could do nothing but watch as his idol died right before his eyes. For years following the attack, he suffered from severe PTSD, blaming himself for allowing his father to be taken away from him in such a violent manner.
Taking matters into his own hands and not wanting anyone else to suffer the same trauma that had plagued him relentlessly, he made a deal with Sabine Brandt to plant explosives all over London and then to frame Dedsec, knowing that Albion would be granted complete control over the city and that he would be one step closer to achieving his goal. After the bombings and with the government in the palm of his hand, Cass began work on Project Themis, a system of autonomous drones that would terminate threats before they could even reveal themselves, based on an algorithm known as Lifescore. Completely absorbed into his prototypes, he practically lived and breathed work whilst having very little time for himself – that is, until Memphis had come into his life. Realizing that there was indeed some good left in humanity after all despite his prior beliefs, he began to feel the same emotions as he had when his father was still alive, the ruthless CEO of Albion being pushed aside momentarily to make way for affection. For love. She was able to keep him out of the dark abyss that had been his life before she’d been recruited, and he told her that she made him feel like more of a man, and less of a monster.
So when she’d walked out of his office that night after discovering his conversation with Zero Day that had occurred before they’d even met, it was enough to tip him over the edge. With Project Themis having been thwarted by Dedsec, and now the woman that he loved being unable to even look at him, he’d lost everything. And a man with nothing left to lose was extremely dangerous indeed. But now with her here once again after having believed he’d lost her forever, Cass told her that he now understood why she’d set out to join Albion in the first place to avenge Santana – because the thought of losing her absolutely terrified him. Memphis’ feelings towards him had never really gone away, and seeing him so genuine and emotional whilst pouring his heart out to her, she believed him. For the first time since their meeting, after all of the moments that they’d shared together, Cass uttered the words that she’d longed to hear, because she felt exactly the same in return. ‘ I love you, Memphis Abigail Rowe. ’ From that moment on, as his thumb gently wiped away the tears, she made a promise to stand alongside Albion’s CEO, healing the pain that had consumed his heart for so long and facing whatever troubles came their way, together.
Which meant handling the backlash from the government as a result of Dedsec’s ploy, because without their approval, the future of Albion was in very real jeopardy. Given the nature of Cass’ involvement in the bombings and his psychiatric history, the prime minister ordered that he step down from his position as CEO immediately whilst he engaged in negotiations regarding Albion’s contract for policing rights in London. If he refused, then the company’s fate was sealed for good, as the government wouldn’t even consider the idea of granting any leniency towards Cass and his life’s work. So with no other options, he did as ordered and left his title as the head of Albion, but not before asking Memphis to act as temporary CEO in his place. Although initially surprised at his proposal, she was touched that he trusted her enough to have his entire company at her command, and so she accepted, promising to make him proud whilst he fought to take back control of Albion.
With some careful deliberation and an agonizingly long wait, it was decided that Cass would eventually be allowed to return to his prior responsibilities as CEO, on the condition that he met certain requisites beforehand in order to gain back the trust of London. The first would be demonstrating that he was in a stable and sound state of mind, having to attend weekly assessments with a professional psychiatrist who would be able to help him manage the traumas of his past. Cass was clearly troubled about having to recollect the final few minutes of his father’s life, and so Memphis offered to be alongside him during those painful moments, providing him with the strength that he needed to battle his inner demons head on. She reminded him of the philosophy that Gareth had once believed in, that no-one was inherently evil and that everyone had the opportunity to do the right thing inside of them – and whilst she’d already witnessed the ambitious and honourable man behind the persona of Albion’s ruthless CEO, he simply had to demonstrate the same courage that he’d revealed to her to the public. To show that he had the people’s best interests at heart, not wanting anyone to endure the same trauma that he’d been exposed to all those years ago. The second, was that he allow the government to revoke Albion’s authority over the entirety of London, and that the company instead be placed in charge over the single borough of Tower Hamlets whilst all employees would be pre-vetted, including Cass himself. Although both steps in restoring Albion would take some time and present him with numerous obstacles, Memphis assured him that she’d be alongside him every step of the way, offering her support and promising to help make his dream flourish so that his father would have been proud of the man that he’d become – by learning from his mistakes and doing the right thing.
She held the position of temporary CEO for the next few months whilst the process of restoring Albion was set into motion, and she was optimistic that both herself and Cass would be able to rebuild the PMC to its former glory, potentially even beyond. Having never opened up freely to anyone else besides her about the guilt that he’d accumulated in the years following his father’s death, Cass initially found the psychiatric sessions incredibly difficult, but with Memphis’ support and the desire for Albion to thrive once again, he persevered through the pain and managed to confront his inner demons head on. Having full confidence that he’d be able to surpass his prior accomplishments, she soon moved into his flat and continued to provide the encouragement that he needed, refusing to abandon him even during his darkest days. With both of their efforts and dedication, it wasn’t long before word spread amongst the people of London that the company would be continuing their operations under a revised regime, and whilst Cass may have re-entered his role as CEO, he had a newfound strength at his side this time around – Memphis Abigail Rowe.
Once the knowledge of their relationship became public, it unsurprisingly received a mixed reception. Whilst some sympathized with Cass and praised Memphis for providing him with the gentleness he needed to heal, others despised her and claimed that she too had blood on her hands, standing alongside the monster who was complicit in the bombings that had rocked London only months prior. Regardless of how the people perceived her, her loyalty and dedication to him was unquestionable, having Albion’s future within her immediate interests. It was evident that both Memphis and Cass were deeply in love, having changed each other’s lives in ways which they could never have imagined, and now looking forward to a bright future together.
Whilst it may have suffered major setbacks thanks to Dedsec’s interference, Project Themis was soon back in the works albeit with numerous overhauls and modifications, now being much more suited to Albion’s altered agenda. With government approval, the measures quickly went ahead onto the streets of London, using the powers of authority to immediately detain those guilty of violent crime, instead of the previous software that had been coded with a shoot to kill command. Slowly yet surely, public approval of Albion began to steadily rise, and before long, the government stated that the PMC was no longer subject to scrutiny, as it had clearly demonstrated a regime that was now beneficial to the people, bringing Cass’ dream of a safer London to life. Nobody could have ever anticipated that on that fateful day all those months back, as Santana lay dying and Memphis ran for her life through the alleyways of Camden, that such a significant chain of events would be set into motion, bringing a new age of peace for one of the most recognized cities in the world, a family reunion that was against all the odds - && the start of two soulmates spending the rest of their lives together.
Around a year into their relationship, with both Albion and Project Themis being a resounding success, Memphis noticed Cass acting a lot more reserved than usual, spending more time alone in his office and purposely taking on a much busier workload than usual, almost as if he was attempting to avoid her. She asked if there was anything troubling him which he denied, although she didn’t believe him, but kept her suspicions to herself. Feeling slightly hurt that he’d confided in her once upon a time, only to be now met with silence, Memphis swallowed her anxieties and respected his decision in keeping whatever was on his mind from her. Soon after, before the start of their weekly training session together, Cass made a proposal to her, much like he had just before the start of their relationship – a friendly competition, with whoever managed to score five wins first during their sparring practice would be named the victor. Thinking nothing of it, Memphis agreed, wanting to distract herself from her own worries for at least a little while. With the score soon tied at four points each, it was a close match, but she ended up claiming the final point, although she had her suspicions that he’d purposely lost. Being unable to ignore his unusual behaviour any longer, Memphis barely had time to open her mouth before the answer was staring her in the face – Cass was kneeling down on one knee, his eyes hopeful and a small black box in his hand. Barely being able to contain her emotions, Memphis burst into tears as Albion’s CEO asked her to become his wife, throwing herself into his arms and accepting his proposal, telling him that she wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of her days by his side.
The following few months were understandably hectic, with the both of them making arrangements for their wedding alongside handling Albion affairs. After much deliberation, Cass and Memphis decided that their venue would be a modern stately home just outside of London with a Greek mythology inspired theme, as Cass often referred to his bride as his ‘ Aphrodite ’, her smile as radiant as the sun and being enough to make him fall in love all over again. Memphis knew that the historical lore meant a great deal to him, as evidenced by the deftly named Project Themis, and so she was more than happy to oblige, eager to be wed to her soulmate, the man who had changed her life in so many ways.
Before she knew it, their big day had finally arrived, and Memphis stood staring at her reflection in the mirror, barely being able to recognize the woman gazing back at her. Whilst she usually despised wearing a dress of any kind, she felt like an absolute princess in the wedding dress that she’d chosen, her hair and make up having been been done by Cecilia. As a final touch, Cass had gifted her a beautiful laurel wreath of her favourite flowers, having presented her with a delicately wrapped box the night before their special day and requesting that she didn’t open it until just before she made him the happiest man alive. Santana was the one to walk his little sister down the aisle, tears in his eyes as he told her that Nigel Cass was the luckiest man in London to have a wife like her. Neither Albion’s CEO or his bride were able to contain their emotions during their vows, the soft kiss that finalized their marriage bringing almost the entirety of their guests to tears. Memphis was on cloud nine, and as they spent their first night together as husband and wife, his breath hot on her neck and a symphony of cries escaping her lips whilst they consummated their marriage, she knew that this was simply meant to be.
Now that she was Nigel Cass’ wife, Memphis was appointed Albion’s second in command, and he couldn’t be happier to have his Aphrodite at his side. Staying true to the theme of their wedding, the two of them travelled to Greece for their honeymoon, celebrating the start of their married life together before returning to London. For the first time in months, perhaps even years, they’d both managed to find true happiness in each another, waking up side by side each morning and working together so that Albion could reach its full potential. To Cass’ delight, Project Themis was a resounding success, with violent crime rates plummeting and the people’s approval for the system reaching an all time high. For years, he’d wished for nothing more than to abolish the pain of losing a loved one for the citizens and London, and whilst he may have been to hell and back in the process, he’d now accomplished just that.
With Albion operations running smoothly and the city being safer than ever, Cass and Memphis settled down into married life together, the both of them wanting to start a family now that everything had fallen into place. Having already bonded with Peyton’s daughters and Cecilia’s young son, Imran, the thought of having a child of her own with the man who she loved with all of her heart and soul was something that she could only have dreamed of once upon a time – but just a few short months later, both herself and Cass would receive the news that would make their lives truly complete. Scheduled for a meeting to discuss the latest ctos update, Memphis fell ill and was unable to attend, much to her displeasure, but Cass insisted that his wife rest whilst he’d be fine on his own. Expecting to feel much better after a day in bed, she still felt nauseous and under the weather, so decided to spend some time with Cecilia for coffee whilst Cass worked on a drone upgrade for Themis. Mentioning to her best friend how she was feeling, Memphis was stunned when Cecilia told her that she’d experienced similar symptoms when she was expecting Imran, and so as soon as she returned back to Cass’ flat, with her hands trembling, she took a pregnancy test.
When Cass returned from work that evening, he was curious as to whether Memphis was feeling any better, and to his surprise, was met with his wife presenting him a small black box tied neatly with a silver ribbon. He never could have prepared himself for the contents upon carefully removing the lid, the two lines staring up at him becoming blurred through the joyous tears forming in his eyes. Albion’s CEO, Nigel Cass, was going to become a father. After all of the destruction and lies that he’d spread across London, blinded by his own vengeance, this was the opportunity for a new start, with his company now a resounding success, his beautiful wife at his side, and a precious son or daughter on the way. Memphis proposed that if they were to have a boy, they should name him Gareth, in honour of Cass’ father. Tearfully, Cass agreed and told her that he absolutely loved the idea, wanting nothing more than to hold his precious child in his arms for the first time. In preparation for welcoming their little bundle of joy into the world, they converted part of their flat into a nursery, decorating the walls with a beautiful mural of bright colours and fluffy animals. Seeing as she already had first hand experience with Imran, Cecilia took Memphis baby shopping for all of the essentials that she’d need, and soon enough, everything was ready – and as she watched her bump grow more prominent over the following months, she was finally ready to embrace motherhood with open arms, despite the inevitable anxieties at the back of her mind.
However, whilst they may have anticipated their child to become the latest addition into the Cass family, the two of them were in for an unexpected surprise – at the suggestion of his psychiatrist to provide him with extra support after his sessions were officially concluded, both himself and Memphis decided to adopt a pet, choosing a three month old Rottweiler puppy. Bringing the newest member of their family home to the White Tower, they affectionately named him Addy, another homage to Cass’ late father. Addy quickly settled down into his new life, being constantly spoiled with new toys to play with and even being allowed to sleep at the end of Memphis and Cass’ bed, despite him having chewed through the cables of some of Albion’s equipment numerous times. The two of them loved him deeply, and Cass’ distressing flashbacks to that fateful day became far less frequent, marking another milestone for Albion’s CEO and his new family.
Eight months later and a week after her due date, Memphis decided to make herself useful, so against Cass’ wishes that she rest, she decided to help work on the latest Themis update, instead of sitting around the White Tower all day. A few hours into her work, she had backache and thought it wise to have a break, so her plan was to go for coffee before taking a walk to get some fresh air – except, things wouldn’t come to pass as she’d anticipated. Sipping her latte, Memphis stood up to go outside when she felt a strange sensation between her legs, followed by a cramping pain in her abdomen. Believing that she was going into labour, her suspicions were confirmed by the puddle beneath her feet, and so she called Cass via her optik. Being in a meeting at the time, it wasn’t long before he was at his wife’s side, contacting Santana and telling him to get to the hospital as Memphis began to experience contractions. Asking Bagley to inform the rest of her loved ones, Santana was soon en route to the specialist Albion hospital where she’d been taken, shortly followed by Lorcan and Cecilia as he began to experience the excitement of becoming an uncle, and welcoming his niece or nephew into the world.
Five long hours later, Memphis gave one final cry of pain whilst squeezing her husbands hand, the very first cries of their new born son filling the room and marking the moment that both herself and Cass became parents, alongside husband and wife. Gareth Emiliano Cass was born on February 14th, his eyes bearing a striking resemblance to his fathers and a small number of freckles spanning over the bridge of his nose, just like his mother. Falling in love immediately, the both of them doted upon their son and embraced parenthood with open arms, managing to balance family life alongside upholding Albion’s now admirable reputation. In the following few months and after some careful deliberation with her husband, Memphis decided to ask Cecilia, Lorcan and Peyton to become Gareth’s godparents, alongside Santana, to which they happily accepted. The couple also decided that their current residence wasn’t spacious enough for raising Gareth and caring for Addy, and so they bought a new home in Finsbury, ironically near the very location where Radhu Florin had made an attempt on the CEO’s life. After all of the pain and loss that had plagued both of their lives so cruelly, Cass and Memphis had finally discovered true happiness – in both each other, and their beautiful baby boy.
The following few years were spent together as a family, Nigel Cass, his wife, their young son, and their faithful dog. Once upon a time, Albion had been a name that had left a bitter taste in people’s mouths, but now, it was a resounding success, with crime rates upon the streets of London becoming practically non existent because of Themis. Cass’ dream had become a reality, building a future that his father would have been proud of with his family at his side – and unbeknownst to anyone, they’d soon be holding another tiny addition in their arms as Memphis soon fell pregnant again, this time with a little girl. Settling on the name Iris as an homage to their love of Greek mythology, Iris Dakota Cass was born on June 8th, with both her parents and older brother having been waiting excitedly for her arrival into the world. Much like Gareth, Iris sported dark hair, but her eyes were much darker than her brothers, a beautiful shade of chestnut much like her mother.
Baby Iris marked the completion of the Cass family, with many years and precious memories ahead of them – both Albion’s CEO and his wife continued operations for the PMC alongside raising their two beautiful children, a life that they could have only dreamed of once upon a time. Gareth grew into a strong, ambitious man, just like his father, and excelled in physical combat, whilst Iris was highly successful in developing new drone prototypes for Albion use in the field, securing a job at Tidis under the very same team that had worked on Project Themis before she was even born. To this very day, the Cass family continues to run Albion with the intent of protecting not just London, but the entirety of the United Kingdom.

below is just a bigger version of the upper left sketch
𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝘄𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲
Memphis is a 29 year old Hispanic woman, standing at 5’1” and weighing 129lbs. She has straight shoulder length black hair with tints of brown and chestnut eyes, whilst her body type is toned / athletic with a top hourglass figure. Underneath her left eye is a small beauty mark and a very faint dusting of freckles sits over her nose, with the majority of her body being covered in numerous tattoos.
Along the length of her left arm up to her shoulder blade is a trail of black and blue stars of various different sizes, a few stray smaller ones sitting behind her left ear in the pattern of a constellation which can be seen whenever she wears her hair tied up. Another tattoo sits on her left side, a pair of small pointed dog ears on her left wrist in tribute to Blanco back home in Panama. Not long after Addy was welcomed into the Cass family, she added more to the design, two tiny pawprints just underneath the ears. A black and white chemistry tattoo for the chemical formula serotonin sits along her right clavicle bone, and a tiny tattoo of a mouse cursor is visible on the index finger of her right hand. Following her wedding to Nigel, she had a design inked onto her right wrist to celebrate their marriage, a laurel wreath with the Greek symbol for ‘ love ’ in the centre. On the back of her neck is a black barcode tattoo, and further down in the centre of her back is a small lotus flower, coloured in shades of multiple watercolours, primarily blue and purple, whilst just above her left ankle sits three tiny musical notes. Additionally, whilst it may not be a tattoo, she also has a scar on the left side of her abdomen from where she shot by Rempart’s robot prototype, and she did consider concealing it with another tattoo, but ultimately decided against it and left it uncovered.
As well as tattoos, she also has a number of piercings, which include her nape, helix, lobe and dimples. She usually wears these at all times, except for instances such as work and anything involving personal hygiene.
Makeup wise, she doesn’t like anything too dramatic, but she’ll use a few cosmetic products to make her features more defined. Eyeliner is by far her favourite, and she’ll almost always wear it, usually in either a ‘ winged ’ or ‘ cat eye ’ style. If she does use eye shadow or concealer, then it’s in a colour very similar to her skin tone, as she’s a firm believer in the ‘ less is more ’ philosophy. Despite this however, she’ll wear lipstick on a regular basis, her favourite shades being magenta and scarlet.
Her clothing style is simple yet fashionable, and some might even consider it ‘ tomboyish ’. The only time she’ll ever be seen in a skirt or dress is for work, whether it’s actually whilst she’s on shift in the White Tower, or attending a formal event in the name of Albion. Usually wearing either leggings or shorts with tights and high tops, she’ll almost always have a leather jacket or a hoodie on, with the latter having the sleeves rolled up because of her smaller than average stature. Underneath, her innerwear consists of either a t-shirt or tank top, depending on the weather or what activities she plans on doing that particular day. If her hair isn’t tied up into a ponytail, then she wears it loose, often with either a beanie or snapback cap worn backwards. In terms of jewellery alongside her piercings, she wears a black lace choker with a ribbon tied into a tiny bow on the side, and a bracelet on each of her wrists. The first is one that she made herself out of an old pair of black earpods, twisting intricately around her wrist before being tied in a knot, whilst the other that sits on her right wrist was a gift from Santana. Created out of guitar picks and beads, this is what she considers one of her most prized possessions, as it helps to calm her down considerably whenever she’s on the verge of a panic attack.
