Mission Name, Organization & PAIL Awareness day
Multi-topic post :)
For starters I need a name for my memory box program that includes Dakota and Madison's names. I see a lot of "such and such's Mission" and "such and such's Grace" I want something different. I am not very good with words, never really have been. If it isn't vulgar I just don't have it. (true talk lol). I am open to suggestions. My program was started over a year ago and I have been slowly collecting things to go into approx 10 boxes. I wanted to start small scale to determine cost. I am not a knitter or crocheter. I am a mediocre sewer at best. But I am getting better. I will switch from boxes to bags after I get a name and settled into our new CIVILIAN lives!!
Which is where I come to the second half of my post.
Organization. I have bought 3 binders to separate out different aspects of family life. Family, Finances, and Fun. I got the idea from pinterest from a Blogger Simple Dimples. It is amazing. A purchase register, meal planner, grocery list, medical information, emergency contacts, taxes, home and auto maintenance. Projects, crafts that are currently being worked on, planning a dream home, contacts, birthdays, the list goes on. I made a few pages that she didn't have PDF's for. Such as: Books to read, Movies to see, a care sheet for each of our animals, a boat expense sheet, wish lists.
I know I am going to need, no make that HAVE, to be better organized once Civilian life starts. So practice starts now. We are approximately 2.5 months out from ETS leave then 2.5 months later complete separation from the Army. I couldn't be more excited to have control of our lives again. Hopefully we will have two incomes soon after Dustin get's a civi job. Hopefully that won't take long. Hence the need to learn to budget and stick to it. Will all this organization help me? Hell if I know. But one can hope. That is why I am starting now rather than later. So I am already in the habit when the time comes.
And Lastly, it is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day. I encourage you to take part in remembrance of babies gone too soon by lighting a candle at 7 pm your time. It will create a "wave" of light across the world. Someone you knoe has been affected by the loss of a child. Whether it is by miscarriage, stillbirth, neo-natal death, SIDS, or childhood disease. Someone you know has been affected. 1 in 4 women will suffer some form of pregnancy loss. Some of them, like myself, will suffer twice. Some will suffer many many more times than that.
So, please, if you partake that is wonderful and I thank you. Post a photo. If you don't, well that is alright, too. I know it is a hard subject to face. Just imagine how us as the parents of babies gone too soon feel.
I wish everyone a beautiful day.
