I think they stuck a massive hidden lore bomb about Lithin into the caption on Fischl's birthday post ~

"O Destined One, let thine compass guide thy path — join your Prinzessin to partake in the celestial ambrosia spilled from the stars' own chalice..."

If Lithin is the bioenergy form of "humans" from one of Teyvat's past cycles, if the "ambrosia" that Xamaran talks about is "spilled from the stars' own chalice" and Traveler is a star...

Is Lithin just liquid descender remains? Like, sort of a liquid form of the same sort of stuff the Gnoses are made out of.

I don't think this is that big of a revelation, but I can't believe it was in Fischl's birthday post.

I know in purpose, that Men of Lithin seemed to be Kukulkan reflecting on his decision not to Phlogistonize with everyone else. At least that is what I assumed after completing the Little One saga, maybe I misinterpreted it.

But I also think that the "Lithin" in concept goes even farther back than Xiuhcoatl.

I truly think that the Twins aren't from another planet entirely, and are from one of Teyvat's past cycles and maybe Lithin is meant to be what is left of their people.

AND i think Lithin is the same thing as the Chrysos Heirs golden blood.

You've basically got two dichotomies:

First: did the author intend it as a work of fiction?

Second: is the work accurate to reality?

The intersection of these two questions gives us something that looks like this

Any of these presents an interesting explanation, though the most interesting ones are obviously supposing the content is accurate, whether or not the author knew/intended it to be.

And that's not even getting into other questions like

Is the work actually from fontaine?

If so, how did it come to be in natlan, with no trace of the original in fontaine, let alone anywhere else?

If not, why is that the most commonly held belief?

What was the author's intent in writing "men of lithin?"

If the author intended it as fiction, what themes was the author trying to convey, and why did they feel those themes were important?

If the content is accurate to reality, why did they choose to write their account in this format?

I feel like there's been a lot of focus on the themes of the text itself, rather than the circumstances that led to the creation of the text, and it just seems like a missed opportunity.

But it's incredibly unlikely that we'll ever find out the answers to any of these questions, so there's probably no point in considering them to begin with lmao
