Mean Gene Okerlund was a big part of my childhood. The most iconic backstage interviewer of all-time. He would take no shit from anybody. He had an unparalleled 38-year career. His most hilarious blooper was at SummerSlam 1989 during a backstage interviewer with then Intercontinental Champion "Ravishing" Rick Rude. The SummerSlam sign fell and he said "fuck it." Will never cease to be funny. He would have turned 79. Rest in Peace, Mene Gene.
