I understand that some people have privilege in our society, but you don’t fight that and try to change that by bashing those people. Women have been oppressed in many ways in American culture, but that doesn’t give women the right to talk shit about men and to be mean and rude to them, you’re treating all men like they were personally oppressing you and you’re no better than they are.

Same for issues on race, yes some races are more privileged than others in some countries, and it’s horrible, but that doesn’t give you the right to blame all of one ethnic group for everything and call everything a race issue! “This didn’t get more notes because it was a black person, if it had been a white person it would be everywhere” NO *smacks with rolled up newspaper* NAUGHTY! Stop perpetuating this and making excuses, MAYBR YOU HAVEN’T GIVEN IT ENOUGH TIME TO GET NOTES OR THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE SO FAR POSTED DON’T HAVE A LOT OF FOLLOWERS.

STOP DISSING CIS PEOPLE THEY CAN’T HELP IT THAT THEY ARE CIS ANYMORE THAN YOU ARE TRANS OR FLUID OR AEGENDER OR WHATEVER! NOT ALL CIS PEOPLE WANT TO SUPPRESS YOU!

When people say Mennism is “just a joke”

I know, I’m aware it’s “just a joke”. However, this is exactly the reason I am so against it. Making a group of people working for their rights a joke for your entertainment is gross and disgusting. If there was a Twitter account and sweatshirt for “White People Rights” that is “just a joke” making fun of minorities in America struggling to gain equality in America, many more people would be appalled by this so called joke. Mennism may be just a joke but its an offensive one. Any group of people whether that be minorities, women or the LGBTQ+ community fighting for equality should never have to deal with people making online accounts or sweatshirts making fun of that struggle. And then be told they’re crazy and dumb because it’s “just a joke” When you support Mennism, you support making fun of women fighting for their equality.

Dear my classmate with a Mennist shirt,

If the Mennism account(s) and supporters ever talked about legitimate issues men face in today’s society, like rape and domestic violence against men, beauty standards set for men or men having a harder time getting child custody, we would listen. However, since you choose to make fun of women, feminism and any woman who speaks up and out for her rights, we do not take you seriously as a legitimate cause looking for social justice.
