“Am I distracting you?” Sophie asked, acting innocent. She knew she was being a bit of a tease--but that was the plan. She could see the effect it had on him and it pleased her, though, she had to admit she was getting a little hot and bothered herself. “We should get outta here, go somewhere else.”

He groaned softly and shot a glare at her that didn’t hold a single ounce of heat. “How’d we even get on this damn topic?” He ran a hand over his beard before laughing. “Fine, fine. It’s probably crossed my mind on a run once or twice but don’t think I would actually follow through on anything.”

“Ah ‘ave no idea,” she laughed heartily, shaking her head and shrugging. Lord only knew how they went from talking about beer to prostitutes. Maybe it was Regan’s ridiculous, uncanny ability to divert a conversation from one topic to another within a matter of seconds, or maybe it was just....them. “All Ah know is Ah need anothah beer.”
