Royal 

Despite her extravagance and passion Anna Henrietta is a good ruler. She seeks enlightenment and prosperity for her land and does not forget her duty to Toussaint even among the whirl of lavish balls and luxurious dresses. However, it does not mean that she does not enjoy life. Her sincere joie de vivre is one reason she is so beloved. She is generous and understanding, trying to keep her heart in reign when a strict or even cruel measures should be applied for the sake of the Duchy. Her ears are open to a wise advice and a different opinion, yet once the decision is taken she is unyielding. In all her worldly sly wisdom she can be very naive and does not tolerate unfairness as well as impertinence. She is prone to bear the burden of responsibility on her own delicate shoulders and is secretive about her woes and sufferings. In her private life, when a matter does not deal with needs and grievances of her subjects, she is used to paint her troubles in bright colours, even if the real state of things starts to smell rotten. That is why she prefers a company of dashing, witty and happy persons around her.

Performer 

The Duchess acts not only as a coldly-composed, awe-arousing judge but also as an inspiring force for all her subjects, who adore her for her beauty and a compassionate heart. The adoration is one of her weapons. She is a person of strong will, enthusiasm and impulse. She is skilful at hiding her true emotions behind a pretty fan or a charming smile, although at times her passions and caprices take rein; yet as a rule she puts the Duchy before her own pleasure. The situation with Sylvia Anna may be considered as an exception.  Due to her “acting” skills - or maybe it is just a tradition in Toussaint - Anna Henrietta is prone to dramatic actions and arabesque wordings. In spite of heaviness of the crown and a lack of naivety regarding humankind (the Duchess knows a true value of people, yet prefers to believe in them) she enjoys life and society, where her wit, vivaciousness and charm can bloom to their full.

Visionary 

Anna Henrietta does not lack courage, though she wields no sword. Let me tell you a secret - the Duchess is a wonderful rider, but is no good at arms of any sorts. Her weapons of choice are her charm, slyness and crashing wilfulness. Dandelion nicknamed her ‘a little weasel’ not only due to her pointed nose or sharp little teeth. She is open to new ideas and radical moves, in her political affairs as in her private life (Her Grace is even rumoured to pose for a certain famous painter whose talents are undeniable, yet his vision is breaching on the verge of scandalous). However, she is stubborn and has a strong opinion - if Anarietta has formed a view on some subject she rarely changes it. These traits act as a blessing and a curse in equal measure. She is an eager patroness of arts, enlightenment and all things graceful, that may benefit her land. The merry and refined Duchy of Toussaint may be easily called her mirror. However, she guards a secret fear - that she was never meant to be a ruler and fits into the role badly; her capriciousness grows out of this insecurity.

Sewing succubus colour companion

The joyful residents of Toussaint pay a due attention to their attire, and the twins, even being seamstress in a ‘narrow field’ of masquerade costumes, are well schooled in fabrics, patterns and general fashion. With professionalism comes a special vocabulary, as a tail comes with a succubus. Do not forget the wild imagination of the sisters and their love for nicknames. As a result they rarely describe a colour as ‘a dark shade of grey’ instead going for ‘araignee meditante un crime’ / ‘a spider planning a crime’ (the title is history-friendly; it was a popular name for the colour in the 18th-century Europe). Now, dear readers, you shall have not only to decrypt a person behind a nickname, but what sentences like “your sangbonbon, all dressed in ‘starless sky over Tesham Mutna’, paid a visit an hour ago” actually mean.

😼 Talk about some memorable trouble you’ve caused.

Natanis: I should not be talking about this but I adore the story of how we have stolen Queen Zuleika’s famous set of bracelets. Right during the royal audience! Nissa created such a precise, diamond-cut plan only to change it on the fly, in the middle of the act. It worked out beautifully. My heart was leaping like a little fledgling, and my hunger grew gluttonous with all the risk, all the dare and all the fun of it. The disappearance of ‘Saint Lebioda bracelets’ is still considered one of the greatest mysteries of this century. What a compliment to our art, don’t you think?

😏 Would you prefer causing mischief or far more evil, bloodthirsty acts?

Nistana: Mischief, naturally. I and my lambkin hate any violence and bloodshed, for it is bad for our appetite and appearance alike. Merry mischief is our favourite pastime.

However, if her sister dies, Nistana shall develop a likeness to despair and suffering (the emotions are darker, but stronger, a better food) and shall deliberately drive her lovers to madness.

👬 Have you met other demons? If so, do you get along with them?

We lived with our succubi sisters when we were little hornless does; but succubi are not suitable for a pack life, for our hunger gets in the way. When our horns grew great and beautiful,  we left to see the world and met many of our kin, even our much rarer brothers incubi. We miss one of their number most cruelly, when the moon turns honey-like. Such song he knew, such tales he told us! Gentle and merry creatures as we are, we do not like any discord or disagreement. Our sisters may be jealous of their sangbonbons, but they always helped their own if the trouble knocked. And so did I and my creamy lambkin of a sister.

⚖  Do you follow rules and guidelines as a demon or work only for yourself?

The twins as any vampiric kin are under obligation to follow their local Elder’s orders. In truth, the horned coquettes has no real fear for  Toussaintois Elder and often miss a due visit or ignore an order with a bat on their eyelashes. The only person who has a rein over the horned trouble duo is Orianna; for the higher vampiress they held respect and love; not to mention that they dread her cold-cut displeasure. When Nistana arrived to Beauclair, with a badly injured sister upon her shoulder, Orianna showed unexpected kindness and held the succubi under her wing ever since. As a result, the twins provide her with dresses, latest gossip and general spiritual cheer. Once they stole a thing or two for her, despite their vow to abandon the practise, but the matter was dire. Orianna’s kindness, however, was not born purely out of her weak heart - the site where the Dreamveil stands is rather special and she welcomes two pairs of eyes to look after it. The vampiress would never confess, a strict mistress as she is, but she holds the succubi sisters very dearly.  For they remind her of a certain friend with whom she frolicked during her younger years.

🔪 Do you have physical weaknesses? (salt, iron, holy water, etc)

As long as a impish mun classified succubi not as Hybrids, but as Semi-Higher Vampires, they are more akin to the last. Yet silver do not harm them (see the booklore, where Regis gives Beauclarian nobles a lecture on vampires, waving a silver fork); Below is an extract from the treatise on succubi for witchers:

...I suggest keeping your silver sword for another battle; a steel sword proves as effective. Keep a moondust bomb prepared. Even if succubi can not turn into a mist, they can create illusionary doubles, as foglers do. Moondust will quickly illuminate the illusions, because their true, semi-transparent appearance become visible. Then you are advised to dodge the spectres and get to the ‘original’ creature as quick as possible. For succubi are masters of beguilement, deception and fire magic. On the other hand, I would advise you, dear monster hunter, to stay your killing hand and rather try to resolve the matter peacefully. Succubi are relentless in their carnal hunger, but rarely cause trouble out of malice or dangerous savagery. I have seen many of their number coexist harmoniously with humankind and other races. One man even stated that a succubus chased his nightmares away and thusly cured him of sleepless nights. Although, I highly doubted the last fact, knowing the natural disposition of the horned beauties. The man himself was neither ailing nor under any wicked enchantment; the rest was not my business.

Dear followers,

Poor mortal behind the twins speaking. Me and my friend have had an interesting discussion today, concerning a character (not just rp, but also when you write one for video games, books and etc.) and his/her sexuality. Mainly if you need to write any sensual scenes, no matter how subtle, to make a character well-rounded. To narrow the topic a bit, let’s discuss only succubi or any other demonic entities that are strongly associated with desire. For example, would the twins be more interesting if there were no erotic descriptions involved? Is it possible to write an engaging portrayal of a succubus this way? How and why?
