Since some events, Bakugo has become rather disassociated with forming real friendship bonds outside of the class. He’s untrusting of adults and parental figures that are not his parents even more now.

Bakugo misses his parents, they were loving and supportive, he’s praise and mental support starved. Explains a lot.

While Bakugo still wants to be a hero, his ideas what it means has changed drastically. The innocent should at least help look out for themselves. His job is to fight, not babysit. He’s a good ‘Bad Cop’ in the dynamic of Good Cop/Bad Cop.

(this is a given) He has a superiority/god complex, Deku fucks with that. His reaction is anger. Though later he takes it as “deku will set the bar, and I’ll crush it”

He gets overwhelmed when confronted about his choices and being questioned. This can one of two ways, he panics and breaks down (rare) or he lashes out to bait pain.

This current Bakugo is manic/suffers from mania.

Due to the summer camp kidnapping and All Might retirement, he’s developed a nasty psychosis. And has found that pain and self-induced fear is his best coping mechanism. This is why he’s so willing to brawl and why he charges in head first.

He’s affectionally stunted, he doesn’t really know how to give affection properly. He has two extremes: he spoils you rotten, or he abuses you for his own pleasure/coping. He follows the classic pattern of an abuser. It’s all about give and take of control.
